I had an awesome score of 12. The King would be so proud.
It was the same 8 or 10 titles.
He's gonna be in Canada oct. 24. Signing things... It's rare.
I wish I had that man's signature on one of my books.
Most people have a bucket list.
There is a forum for Stephen King questions.
If you could ask the man one thing, What is your question?
all the talk of rare things... Meeting him is extremely rare.
I follow him on Twitter and I'm in the fan club. I still miss him every time. Tickets are only 100 bucks.

I really LOVED, The Girl That Loved Tom Gordon, It's my current favorite. I've read it in 3 formats.
The PoP up version is Very S.K. I'm proud to own it. If I had one thing he would sign... It's my Tom Gordon POP-UP BOOK.
Did anyone get the email today?
I didn't read it. I just saw something about another Ghost? book?
I adore his audio books. When he reads aloud, It's Frucking Awesome!!!!!
It's been awhile. Maybe that is why I have listened to 17 hrs of The Lovely Bones 4 times now?
IF only I still had a tape player and all 8 cassettes...
When The King tells you a story... it's your pleasure to hear. I have pulled off the road... to hear him finish a chapter. :oops:0 -
I got a 22/30. I did guess on more than 8 of them though
I am currently reading NOS4A2 by Joe Hill, Stephen King's son. He writes in a very similar style. 50 pages in, I think its a keeper.NOS4A2 is a spine-tingling novel of supernatural suspense from master of horror Joe Hill, the New York Times bestselling author of Heart-Shaped Box and Horns.
Victoria McQueen has a secret gift for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. On her Raleigh Tuff Burner bike, she makes her way to a rickety covered bridge that, within moments, takes her wherever she needs to go, whether it’s across Massachusetts or across the country.
Charles Talent Manx has a way with children. He likes to take them for rides in his 1938 Rolls-Royce Wraith with the NOS4A2 vanity plate. With his old car, he can slip right out of the everyday world, and onto the hidden roads that transport them to an astonishing – and terrifying – playground of amusements he calls “Christmasland.”
Then, one day, Vic goes looking for trouble—and finds Manx. That was a lifetime ago. Now Vic, the only kid to ever escape Manx’s unmitigated evil, is all grown up and desperate to forget. But Charlie Manx never stopped thinking about Victoria McQueen. He’s on the road again and he’s picked up a new passenger: Vic’s own son.0 -

I put that one on my wish list, I liked Heart Shaped Box.

Just started Under The Dome. So far so good.... but I have a feeling that the TV version might suck. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0

Yeah, I liked Under the Dome a lot. Very easy/quick read considering the length.
I instantly thought it would make a great film/TV adaptation. The King stories are so hit/miss though. It also seems like it is being thrown together too quickly.0 -
Interview with Mr. King...he talks about what he read as child, Under the Dome, Guns, and John (cougar) Mellencamp...
http://www.parade.com/15944/kentucker/s ... n-control/Show #13 was a lucky one for me....0 -
that is what I suspected for Under the Dome. I think it is a full run of episodes, so they would need to generate material. Makes me a bit nervous.0

Yeah...I have a feeling it won't live up to the book. That being said, I still plan to watch it...Show #13 was a lucky one for me....0 -
its kind of strange when SK says that he saw it, noticed they added a lot of stuff, and said some people wont like it.
We like the story because SK wrote it and did a good job. I dont want CBS's producer-told stories.
One regret I have of SK's career, is I wish he kept a tighter lid on film/TV adaptations.0 -

It's kind of a double-edged sword, I think. Most of the adaptations are crap, for sure. But had he kept a tighter lid, people who wanted to see adaptations of his work would get upset. (Speaking as a long-time comic geek who waited years for a Spider-Man and X-Man movie, I can understand this.)
Besides, the movie adaptations of his earlier works (Carrie, Shining, Cujo) arguably helped make him more famous.
His Dollar Baby policy is pretty awesome, too."Where's KW?"
"Let's check Idaho."0 -
Some good info here. Interesting to hear it might stretch on longer. I thought it was just going to be more of a mini-series but I guess if the ratings are good it could come back for another season.

Wow, they are really using the theme and running with it... numerous seasons?!
That would be awesome with The Stand. You can literally make that one go for a nearly indefinite period of time between the outbreak and the final events. I am still hoping for a true-to-book cable series though.
Under the Dome seems too limited of a scope for multiple seasons.0 -

there are all sorts of things. Pollution, resources, medical needs, etc.
It sounds like they want to make this into sort of a "Lost"0 -
