ice cream or gelato?

Gelato. Better flavours. And it's pretty much the same as ice cream. Proper gelato is still cream-based, and more delicious. Sounds like people might be mixing up gelato with Italian ice or maybe sherbert??With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Oh... okay. Strange. In Canada Gelato is like it's supposed to be - creamy and amazing Italian ice cream with awesome flavour combinations.I'llridethewave wrote:italianne57 wrote:Ice cream translates to gelato in Italian, so it's the same thing: ice cream IS gelato, and there is no such thing as Italian ice. Americans made that up!

So gelato made in Italy essentially has consistency & texture like ice cream made in US?
That's good because the "gelato" I've had in the US is shite. Not like ice cream to me at all. Hence the title of this thread. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

Plain bottled water or Sparkling fizzy mineral water?
Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip?
Gelato is really yummy, so is Frozen custard, and the frozen Greek yogurt is dangerously tasty.

No Fizzy.

Mayo is dead. ( I cook better without it, and it's gross)
Italian dressing is a secret.... ssshhh
I NEED the A/C! I am/was born and raised in a very hot climate. I still live here.
I would be freaking nuts if I didn't have A/C. When I didn't have it , I'd spend all day in a place that had it.
So MUSTARD or KETCHUP ? or be crazy and demand Shirasha ?

I only buy it when it's on sale at my store...right now it's $3.50 for a jar...and I ate half of it last night :oops:The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Now I want some. There is an amazing place near me - I feel like a scoop of Ferrero Rochet with a scoop of pistachio. Mmmmm. Too bad I'm not going there.

Even $6 seems like a good deal to a Canadian. :x People actually drive across the border just for cheap dairy products. :fp:peacefrompaul wrote:RKCNDY wrote:
