THis is a very nice taping, showing the people enjoying the last moments of a great show. I was at the sitting area upstairs and watching people at the floor. At the rear part of the standing area, people made a big circle and everyone was shoulder-to-shoulder, dancing with the song.
It was like a big emotional moment of sharing the enjoyment. I was afraid for a moment that a big orgy was to start right there but then the song finished and people came back to themselves.morello wrote:What's your part, who you are?

Rocking and partying the whole time, sharing memories, talking PJ, guessing the opener and what songs we want to hear. Great stuff when a band can make people unite with one common purpose.

1. My first PJ concert in Austin, 1995 with the Ramones. GA show and being 5'6" 180, was just getting rattled around in the crowd. Finally made way to the front and I remember just not even standing, not fighting to hold my place, just feeling like a piece of grass bending in the wind and watching the show. I swear there was a brief moment of eye contact with Eddie...one of the most intense things I've ever felt to this day.
2. Seeing PJ 3 days before getting married.
3. On any given day being able listen to any PJ album and be taken to a place, a past, a feeling, a memory. What power there is in music, and especially PJ!
4. My favorite PJ shirt that I wore till it was paper thin...now in a quilt that my Mom made for me. Sappy, but I love that quilt.

This video means so much to me. It is long but feel the urge to share this.
I was a fan during 90's. Have made my way till Yield album but then I somehow lost it. Totally forgot about PJ like 13 years. I bought Binaural CD on the way, listened a few times, but then put to the farthest part of the shelf.
Fast forward 13 years. I was sitting at home on a day of 2011 and thought to myself, "What is this song that comes to my mind like forever and I sing the first few notes of it". In the 90's in Turkey, we would rarely buy the original records, I am ashamed to say. Most of the time, the cassettes would be copies. Which didnot include the name of the songs. When you dont know the name of the song, even the record, it gets harder to keep in mind which song belongs to which band. So I totally lost it at that point.
So I wrote to google, the only words I remember that I could extract at 90's with my limited english at that time, "Once divided, nothing..." And that was enough. Nothingman, Pearl Jam came out with a miracle from google and this video was at the top. I listened to it and since that day became a fan again.
So this is my lost and found story.helplessdancer wrote:berlin aint got nothing on this one

Hope my to-be-born daughter will also take my obsession the same way, in the future. I hope she wont be like  :roll:all4me wrote:Talking with my daughter this morning on the way to work about her new job and her coworkers, doing the nosey mother bit. She tells me about a conversation she had with another young co-worker about music, and how she had asked if he had heard of Pearl Jam. He said, yes he knows who they are and listens to them, and that he was introduced to them by his mother, my daughter laughed and told him same with her. Then she goes on by saying, " I bet your mom isn't as big a fan as mine. My mom travels all over to see them, and knows all their songs. " She said he gasped and said, "Not even close." And the she tells him how if a PJ song is playing in the car, we play... guess the song and have sing-alongs.
Awe... made me

Oh, you will never know how that feels in Moscow. When the package comes in 6 weeks after your order date, much later than you already lost all your hope.
I am sure I made some people in Russian customs or Secret Service PJ fans.YLed2 wrote:Receiving 5 boot legs in the mail - feels like Christmas around here.
