No. With age comes age.
A stupid person at age 20 is going to still be the same stupid person at age 55 if they continue to believe in the same shit they've believed in for their entire life.
...
In other words, you have to do something with your mind in order to gain wiasdom... sitting around to 35 years believing the same shit is not going to make you wise... just old.
exactly. thanks cosmo. aerial's comment "with age comes wisdom' is about as sensible as "respect your elders". I used to work with an old woman (when I was 19) who used to tell me that all the time. I said "you don't gain respect just because you're old-you gain respect by the way you act".Gimli 1993

Sounds like a disrespectful 19 year old ......are you a hater of the elderly?

parents raise children cause they gave birth to them(well the mother anyway) and therefore are responsible for their ongoing existence until they reach the age of legal maturation. nothing necessarily to do with wisdom tho ill give you that theyre older.hear my name

and that's what she said. I'll give you the context to help you better understand.
we both worked in a restaurant. I was the baker. she was the dishwasher. neither of us were each others' boss. but she told me to do something that wasn't my job, it was hers, but she wanted to go for a smoke. I told her so. she got pissed off at me. I told her to shove it. she said "don't you know what 'respect your elders' means?". she thought for the simple reason that she was older than me that I had to bow to her every whim. it's bullshit. I'll listen to someone who is older and more experienced than me, but don't confuse "experience" with "wisdom". I've met a lot of fucking stupid old people.

Older and wiser comes from life experience. We all have those. And most of the people who find fault with others prejudices have bunch of their own including one towards those people.

For some reason, I thought of this scene from Seinfeld:
Agent: I know why we have reservations.
Jerry: I don't think you do. If you did, I'd have a car. See, you know how to
take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and
that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody
can just take them.
It's the holding of the reservation!0 -

I love his stand up that's a favorite of ours. His presentation, funny dude. Fire one up and wet our pants laughing, of course I couldn't quote it.
Maybe the show is the same I never have watched it.That what you fear the most could meet you halfway0 -

The quote (courtesy of a quick search) wasn't meant to be deep, just relevant in an odd way.
Yup, the show's good as shit. I actually like it better than his stand-up.0 -
