Now I’m there
Now you’re there
And now there’s another one
She is clear
All our life
Could have never known
What she could bring
To our home (proud daddy laughing as he sang this part)
And to think
When I was young
I was ready
To give it up
Somehow stayed
Never changing
And here we are
And its love that remains
Our love remains
Our life remains
I can't figure out the very last thing he says before going into Corduroy...Can anyone understand what he says there...also, does the rest of this look accurate to what you hear?

It sounds to me like Ed might be changing his stance on abortion, or at least look at it differently after the birth of his daughter.Barrie '98

Anyone else think these might be some lyrics to a new song? If it is I'm digging them.0

There's only two differences I hear..
Now I’m there
Now you’re there

She is clear
All our life

What she could bring
To our home
And to think

As for the very last line, I think it might be..
And thus brings..Lex 03, Gorge 05, Cincy 060 -

hah-- being pro choice does not mean that you do not appreciate/want new life in the world

This is what I got out of it:
Now I'm here
Now that you're there
and now there's another one
She is clear
All our life
Could have never known
What she could bring
To our home
And to think
When I was young
I was ready
To give it up
Somehow stayed
Never changes
Here we are
And it's love that remains
Our love remains
Our life remains
and explains.0 -
You nailed the two words I had wrong and I have changed them in my post...thanks!dissident3 wrote:There's only two differences I hear..

As far as the last line...that sounds right...but it's still so mumbled...0 -

Now that I listen to it again, and listen for that.. it does sound a bit more like "and explains" than "and thus brings".Lex 03, Gorge 05, Cincy 060 -
i think its about him not wanting to have kids at a certain point in his life
but then he changed his mind for the better...5/4/2006, 5/12/2006, 5/13/2006, 6/1/2006, 6/3/2006, 6/24/2008, 6/25/2008, 6/27/2008, 6/30/2008, 8/4/08, 8/5/08, 8/7/080 -

I've never heard this before, but it certainly sounds like... not necessarily regret, but wonder of how things could have been, how different things would have been, and if he missed out on something special.0 -
I agree. (ten characters)edwouldgo wrote:Give it up...

I think it's fitting to tag this to Not For You, i.e. his private / family life is just that, private, and ...Not for you (us, the media, whoever).I will feel....alive....as long as I'm freeeeeeee...0

you don't? what then? to me it sounds pretty clearly to be a reference to his past. If not, then i don't know why he would sing something that could so closely identified with it.0 -
The question is is that an improv or new song?"Fuck the talkin' let's start rockin" - Eddie Vedder 9-5-00 Pittsburgh
