My neighbors dogs jumped the fence yesterday and took off down the back ditch. The first dog was found quickly. The second was more elusive. She is a large curly haired girl, about the size of a standard poodle. My boys took off on foot, the neighbor on a bike, and I took off in the car. Molly was eventually found, several blocks away. We got back home, but the boys were still missing. After about 5 minutes, they came back with a very small, dachshaund size dog. We all laughed at their find and told them no that one's too small. But apparently, Snickers was lost too. Thankfully for her ID tag with her phone number on it, she was back home shortly. Happy endings all around.

i was trying to avoid the picture so i did this quote...

great to hear she is doing good! that has got to hurt though!

Not meaning to be a buttinsky, but if that were human flesh, I would say that wound is infected. Is that reddened area warmer than the surrounding skin? If so I think I would call that vet today.

"buttinsky" haven't heard that one for a while.

actually gracie's incision looks really "good" in person....a lot of scabs are ready to fall off....it's not "oozeing" much anymore...the reddened area IS warm, but only because gracie had just gotten what we call her "spa treatment"....the vet told us to take a hot as we can stand wash cloth and press it on the wound several times a day.....the heat is supposed to stimulate blood flow which will speed healing (while chemo slows it down )

Which is why we love her!

gracie's white cell levels were too low for chemo today....but she did come home with 6 staples to try and close her wound. we will try chemo again on thursday. I feel really bad dragging her down there again and getting nothing really accomplished today

she doesn't deserve this crap.

the chemo gracie got yesterday (doxyrubicin) gives her gas....she was tooting away all evening but didn't know where the noise was coming from....every time she tooted, she would jerk her head up with a startled look

yesterday was chemo #8. now, she gets to go every other week for four more months. I'm glad to be lessening her vet stress
