Can we all just admit that we don't need a thread like this every three months???
Pearl Jam brought it on themselves by releasing that album ;)

So we keep being reminded by those who hate it...

All due respect, there arent threads like this every three months. Jackasses like me keep bumping the one thread. :fp: :P

I like it, it sounds like a band having a good time. Straighforward and listenable.

It'll never go down as one of the greats but when a band gets to the 9 albums stage, not all of them have to be.

And personally, I think it's a far better record than 'Avocado', with the exception of Unemployable.

You must be kidding dear sir. It's almost impossible to get that low! Even the World Wide Suicide video had higher production values! But for that one they had to hire an After Effects-savvy 13-year old to do those ugly swipes!

Sorry JB, have to completely disagree with you on that. I think BS is a great album and it gets frequent play time in the car. If you don't like it, don't fuckin listen to it.

Sorry I don't agree with you. :nono:

Avacado (S/T) is equally as bad if not worse.

    blasphemy! avocado was delish!

for the record, trying to get everyone to agree that any album was poor quality ON THE PJ FAN CLUB SITE is not going to go well... although, you are winning at number of responses. well done sir!

I think it's pretty much total crap. S/T is much better. Marker alone kicks the ass of any song on BS.

Yes, Self Titled. I can see why people dont like Backspacer but ST was a really good album in my opinion.

I am so so on the album, but I am glad to see so many people liking it. Listened to it the other night, after a long time (just saw this thread), loved the fast songs, dozed off on some others, was surprised how much I liked Speed of Sound, all those little piano bits... The End, getting to me as always. Eddie still writing gorgeous songs, after all this time. I am also seriously loving Matt lately. Olé, I like a lot, lyrics and all. Sounds to me like they are having a blast, love the little jam there as well... there is that spirit and energy about them that makes me excited for what's next, I seriously can't wait for the new stuff.

I LOVE The Fixer video and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
It's ok by me if it was for Target. Who cares. I just like the energy of the thing and I think the song itself is pretty cool. It is a positive song, and dammit, that's ok!!

I love hearing everyone singing along, including myself, even if someone did give me a dirty look at one of the shows for singing along!

Personally, listening to B/S and S/T, I always get in shock with the beauty of the music and how this band still comes out with these incredible tunes.

And about the concerts, every time you get 2:30 hours of live music in each show from guys of 50 years of age and you still complain about the speed of the songs? Did you ever check how long other bands put out in their shows?
