I got everything I wanted except the deftones. I scored Mad Season, Soundgarden, At the Drive-In, Cave In, Face to Face, Superchunk and The Nerve Agents. Actually, I wanted to pick up the Botch and boy sets fire releases as well. Overall, I did well.
2010: Mountain View, CA (10/23)
2011: East Troy, WI (9/3-9/4)
2012: Missoula, MT (09/30) - San Francisco, CA (10/03)
2013: Chicago, Ill (07/19) - Los Angeles (11/23 - 11/24) - Oakland (11/26) - Portland (11/29) - Spokane (11/30) - Seattle (12/06)
I'm such a friggin' dork....but those RSD guys got me! It was time to upgrade my cassettes anyway. My COOLEST pick was Emerson, Lake & Palmer (<--I SAID I was a dork!). Box set of their first 5 albums, PICTURE discs, hand #, limited to 1250. "Cream Live 2006" is back in print, limited to 1500, but my store had 2, & only 1 ELP, so fingers crossed for next payday. I saw a guy lose his mind over Rolling Stones 5x5, which I put back @ the last second, but I was excited for him.
Mad Season went quick, but I got 1. Legacy Records. Stamped #, no DVD, didn't expect one. (That's my sacrifice.)
The line was estimated 100+ strong before 9AM in NH. Everyone was cool, helping each other find shit....New England has had a crappy week, but a lot of good optimism.
It was fun. I spent too much. Still, BLIND MELON & DAZED Soundtrack were hotter than I expected! Bravo!!
Finally, & all of Northeast NE is going 2 hate me for saying this, but bullmoose.com is your FRIEND. They push unsold ltd eds. around from store to store, they buy excess from the labels, THEY WANT YOUR BUSINESS. They told me "Call me tomorrow, let us regroup & let the crowds subside, we can probably make "Blind Melon" & "Dazed" work." This may not help many of you shut out on "Mad Season", but I strongly endorse them. (Sorry, they do limit shipping to the US, but hey, it's free if you spend $20!)
Mad Season

Also got Soundgarden, Wings, Mumford & Sons and Dave Bruceck Trio. My local record store was great. Longs lines to get in and to pay but was made better by chatting with some great people about music.

The only one I really wanted but couldn't find was At the Drive-In. There were tons of others I saw that I would loved to have picked up but I had to control myself this year. Kind of kicking myself for not getting the Dazed and Confused soundtrack but it was $40 and I just couldn't pull the trigger.
