RSD worked well. I "Discovered" a great store. Brought a friend. He and his music-junkie brother are now all-in on vinyl.

I also had a vinyl weekend. Had people over my place both nights, played a lot of vinyl and people loved it. Some of my friends are searching for turntables now.

wait, nobody got katy perry?

And i'm kind of newbie to vinyl. Where can i go to find out what everything is worth? some things just seem too expensive. for example i wanted stadium arcadium but it was 35 dollars so i passed.

You passed up a great deal. That's the limited edition art version of that release. It's 4 LPs and it's amazing. Exclusive mix pressed for vinyl. I didn't know about the release until yesterday, or i'd have picked one up. Before yesterday, I thought finding (though not buying) it for $75 was a good deal. Such an amazing album. If it's still available, go buy it.

No Pearl Jam related items were sent to the one store in Alaska that does RSD. So sadly, I got a big fat goose egg in that department.

The store only got one small box of items...and the only thing worth buying was a Bruce Springsteen single from Wrecking Ball.

So that was my total 'haul'.

All in all, a very disappointing RSD.

How does the EV single sound? Wasn't able to make it out on RSD. Remember Wishlist being amazing live on his solo tour but didn't catch LBC..

I was at Coachella and visited their RSD tent. Picked up mainly gifts for friends and family. Got the Coachella exclusive At the Drive-In Vaya colored vinyl for a friend and was able to score a signed poster in the Social D RSD vinyl for my cousin who's a huge fan on the 1st try. The only thing I was after for myself was the EV single but they were already out less than an hour after the doors of the festival opened.

My real RSD took place Monday night when I went to a listening party for the new Jack White album at Fingerprints in Long Beach. After the album finished, they held a drawing for everybody at the event, extra entries if you bought the album, and I won the grand prize of 2 tickets to Jack White's sold out show at the Wiltern in May!!! :D

Crossing fingers they will be available in the 10club store for those who didn't score one @ their local ma & pa stores; especially those fan's in Canada where we didn't carry any Monkeywrench Records. Another "exclusive to USA" jam. Got this freebie style from a good friend in the USA! :)

I went to my local record store, Real Groovy Records, here in Auckland and another much smaller place that has a few bins of new vinyl. I only picked up one of the special RSD availabilities, The Cure - Seventeen Seconds on white vinyl, not too much else floated my boat, Iggy & the Stooges I should have probably got.

The others were just one's I'd been wanting get:

Edan - Beauty and the Beat
Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
    Pixies - Bossanova
Queens of the Stone Age - Rated R
The Chemical Brothers - We are the Night

Free: RSD DVD & Sub Pop compilation CD.

It's a beauty!! Took a while as the only record I was able to pick up @ my local record store was the Brad RSD release as all the other releases were "exclusive to USA" jams. Crossing fingers the next RSD event, Monkey Wrench Records shares some of that passion up here in Canada.
