Yeah and just to make clear, I like a lot of bands. I know band members, history, etc. of many many bands especially from the 90s on, but I obssess about very few. If you can obsess about 7 or 8 bands, that's cool, but I must question your exact level of obsession.

At least for me, at most I could over 3-4 bands just because of monetary, time and other life restraints. And of course now at this point in my life (married with kids) it has dropped off a little more.
Anyway, this is a fun thread. Good job me!PJ: 7/5/1998 - Dallas*; 9/1/1998 - Atlanta; 9/3/1998 - Birmingham; 8/7/2000 - Atlanta; 10/18/2000 - Lubbock*; 10/20/2000 - Albuquerque; 6/9/2003 - Dallas; 10/4/2008 - Austin; 4/8/2016 - Sunrise; 4/9/2016 - Miami

For music; 1968-1975 van morrison, got all of the album's on vinyl and prob listen to one every evening in, listening to astral weeks album for the first time was as life changing as hearing 'alive' first time.
For seeing live; sylosis, probably the best thrash band in the world and still play tiny venues in the UK, miss many days of work to see them
But of course nothing compares to PJ, everybody tells me I'm too obsessed with PJ but I'm small fry compared to the guys on here0 -
Nice post/question  . PJ def tops and, fortunately, holds the only position in my obsession list. The others that might somewhat compare would be The Black Crowes, Grateful Dead, and Third Man Records products. I can get a good gauge on how important and band is to me by figuring how far I'm willing to travel to see 'em. The only band for which I've criss-crossed the U.S. (come to the South dammit
) is PJ. 0 -
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are my favorite band hands down. I fly out to Boston every December for their annual Hometown Throwdown. Or as my wife calls it "Summer Camp" because I get to see friends I only see once a year there and just be crazy for four days.
I'd go crazy if I had to miss Throwdown.Kansas City 98

Metallica and Iron Maiden are the only two that equal PJ in the obsession stakes.
Alice In Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are all close, though. And I planted my bolo knife in the neck of mad John Finn. I took his wretched life.
Now I'm over near the bandstand, every hand moving on John Finn's wife...0 -
Springsteen is my top obsession, then PJ and U20
