Screw gun bans and registration, sounds like me need to have people take a test on gun safety before they can purchase a gun.
Very sad. Those parents do not know how to safely keep a gun in the home. I am not saying take it away from them, but they are obviously not responsible enough to own one.

 Kat? :P
If the parents (or gunowners in general) are irresponsible, how can you justify not taking it away from them? Your last paragraph contradicts itself.
I'd apply the same logic to driving, raising children, having a dog/cat, etc.0

Yeah,I guess it sounds contradictory. lol
But, if I would have said "take it away", my head would've been bit off by some nut cases. And today I am not in an arguing mood.~Carter~

There's a separate incident that occurred on the same day where a different 4 year old took a gun and shot the wife of a sheriffs deputy and killed her. These are the 'responsible' folks?Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0

I second the motion. Gun issues have become an entity in-of-itself. Today, more popular even than Jesus.

I bet if the gun wasn't available, that 4 year old would have likely dragged the 6 year old into a car, drove to a high rise building, went up to the top floor and pushed him into the garbage shoot, huh?hippiemom = goodness0

Agreed! Isn't neglectful supervision already something that is illegal? If your 4 year old is getting into your guns, drugs, porn, keys, cleaner, etc...shouldn't the parent be the one held responsible instead of the guns, porn, keys, cleaner, etc? I bet it's safe to say many more children die from accidentally ingesting prescription drug and household cleaners than guns...81 wrote:at least you people are finally blameming the proper thing (parents)0

Just do be clear, are you advocating banning all guns? That includes hunting rifles, shotguns, as well as pistols? There are accidents where children get a hold of hunting rifles and shotguns as well...but I didn't realize we were advocating banning them because of this? It's the parent's responsibility to ensure they do not get their hands on them...otherwise they are being neglectful, which is illegal.cincybearcat wrote:81 wrote:at least you people are finally blameming the proper thing (parents)
