Just had some good and bad news.......Good news - Gleenns job in Townsville FINISHES in 2 weeks, so he should be home with us permanently YAY!!!
The bad is that the jobs over....but I don't really care about that (for selfish reasons that I'm just happy he's gonna be home )
It's a long boring story, but I'll cut it short. BHP (who they're doing the job for) have a really strict safety policy - NO ACCIDENTS!!! A few days ago one of the bosses slipped with a metal sheet and cut his hand and it needed a few stitches - nothing major and a hazzard of the trade.....anyhoo, BHP were gonna kick all of the guys off site because of it, but compromised and just told the company Glenn works for to sack the gut who cut his hand from the job. The company has turned around and basically told BHP to get fucked and pulled them all off the job :eek:
Yeah it sucks that they all lost the job ......it was AMAZING money.......but Glenn's coming home in 2 weeks and staying!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!

I have to have 3 extractions and a broken tooth repaired....so the poor old bank balance will be in as much pain (if not more) as me :(
The dentist and I were in shock that that's all that needs doing.....I haven't been to a dentist since Primary school Dentist, so was expecting at least a few fillings to be needed.....PHEW!

Yeah Glenn's wrapped to be coming home....we're both kinda spewin bout the money - was gonna be handy for the new house.....but would much rather him be here with us!!!!!!! That's priceless! Jobs like that with good money are just bonus' for us and we just make the most of them when they happen....we don't stress if they don't. Just make hay while the sun shines

We'll still be moving.......thing is we want a bigger house and the area we're moving too is a bit pricey, so we'd hoped to have saved enough so as not to have to borrow any more money (we've got our existing mortage down quite a bit and wanted to keep it that way) .....but meh.......we'll just borrow more.....no biggy At least Glenn will be moving with us and it won't just be the kids and I.
No they don't know yet :eek: They're locked in one of the bedrooms with RATM absolutely shaking the house and I can hear them all jumping around and singing (well it's more shouting) :eek: when I knocked on the door they couldn't hear me....so they will have to wait
