How exactly does one go about being "in charge" of violent youths with weapons?

If a kid pulls a knife on me for no reason?

    This is not snitching ....

He's a dumbass and needs more corrective therapy

I was patient ... While he had cocaine in in pocket..
Later on... down the free way he put my shift knob into park?!!!!

I had to tell.. he almost killed my transmission.

That is a direct sign of an evil person... for me?

Kind of like a kid pulling a gun on a school bus?

Anyone else read about the kid that was suspended because his pop tart was in the shape of a gun? That's going overboard.

Snitching is one thing but the information needed to be given to police can be given discreetly. Give the police the information and let them know I don't want to be named in the answering of your questions.

Here in Florida it seems things are done differently and YES the whole state is on drugs of some kind.

I agree that it is going overboard BUT when people don't overreact to something that could be perceived as a threat then that's when people start pointing fingers about having warning signs about threats, etc and "someone" not doing anything about it. Perhaps if people had some damn common sense and raised kids that had some then you wouldn't have these extreme overreactions in order to cover your ass.
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

Good parenting and common sense. So simple a premise and yet...seemingly-elusive ;)

Society has programmed ourselves to look at 'snitching' as a bad thing. From day one, little kids have been told not to 'tattle' on their siblings or peers by their parents and teachers. The notion of remaining silent grows as kids get older. It eventually becomes something that is viewed as weak.

Result: silence. Bullies thrive in the culture we have set up for them. Kids suffer not having the skill set to deal with their tormentors unless they take extreme action (Columbine as an extreme example). Some become damaged beyond repair (suicide for some). Criminals operate without much fear of reprisal. Many are not exactly forthright in their efforts to inform authorities.

Let's not forget about all the good kids and parents with good common sense
raising their kids so. Far outweighs.
We have some focus on these kids and parents also in the news
but it seems they get overlooked. I wonder why.

This kid was shot and killed because he had some skittles.

    About snitching...
I glad that that shithead flight instructor didn't 'snitch' on Mohammed Atta and those other assholes who wanted to learn how to fly and 'steer' a plane, but had no interest in take-off or landings or getting a pilot's license. He did the right thing... he took their money, taught them how to fly and steer a plane... and didn't 'snitch' on them... even though it sounds extremely fishy.
He needs to be classified as a true American Hero.
    ...
Also... More guns are needed in school... If every kid had a gun... there wouldn't be any gun violence on school grounds... because, you know, kids these days are so responsible and smart.
