Not that it says anything about his playing abilities-- and yes he was one of the greatest ever, but I used to work with his mother. I only met Barry once, but his Mom's a gem. And the sun it may be shining . . . but there's an ocean in my eyes0 And the sun it may be shining . . . but there's an ocean in my eyes0

I would rate him as the best in my football viewing years. Years that began in 1985 with da Bears. I'd rate Walter Payton a close second.0

I believe he's also considered a gentleman of the game, so this makes complete sense.Don't come closer or I'll have to go0

Always loved how he just handed the ball to the ref after scoring a touchdown - very humble.2013 Wrigley, Pittsburgh, Buffalo

very true. they were both flat-out amazing. i'm convinced that if Bo would have picked one sport, he would be in the HOF in that sport. not a doubt in my mind.I LOVE MUSIC.

Walter Payton second to Sanders? Ridiculous!gabers wrote:I would rate him as the best in my football viewing years. Years that began in 1985 with da Bears. I'd rate Walter Payton a close second.
I do think Sanders was a fn beast of a RB. He played for a crappy team, he ended his career early. I think it's possible that had those last two not happened....he may be the best.
That said, Payton played for some bad Bears teams who had bad o-lines....
Sanders a great player....top 3 IMO, but Payton was the best.0
