We already are involved in one way or another. Leon Panetta said that we are providing intel to French forces which could mean we have the CIA in the area or quite possibly special forces.

As for a full on ground operation, I don't think so

From what I saw, France doesn;t have drones. So I think Leon is referring to us using drones for them.

But I could be wrong, I scanned it.

My friends son was just sent to Africa......she does not keep up with what goes on in the World....she says he was sent to the west side where it is peaceful....maybe he told her that....I did would never tell her different.....her son operates the drones....so looks like you are right on!

    Interesting...

Go ahead France, if it was us I'd be against it from day one. I still don't like it, but it's not my place to speak for France.

It's not like non-Americans don't speak about our affairs. If this were us and not France there's be 10 threads of outrage on page 1, instead of just this thread chilling on page 3.

  • War is ugly and never fun! But it is sometimes necessary! Sad to say but its reality....and we live in the world in which we live.....not the one we WANT to live in!
Theres no time like the present

All people need to do more on every level!

The Algerian's have raided the oil field and taken in back over from the fanatics. Reports of captives being killed in the raid are ranging from 6 to 40.

The raiders were letting Muslims go and killing Christains and infidels according to eye witnesses.

    We are now involved militarily.

Imagine that, another unconstitutional action by the Obama administration.

Maybe someone can explain to me why we arm al-qaeda in some places (Egypy, Syria, eyc.) but fight them in other places (Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.). Hmmmn?

Here is a direct quote from the above referenced article....

U.S. policy prohibits direct military aid to Mali because the fledgling government is the result of a coup. No support can go to the Malian military directly until leaders are chosen through an election.

last I checked nothing about this is "unconstitutional"
please hang up and try your call again :D

So I guess this administration is in direct violation of that.
