well assuming this fucking drawing system doesn't screw the hometown fans I will be there
if there is only one show, the demand will be huge from all the country, even abroad..lottery or not..
but there is no tonly 10c tix,,this is a 40k venue
See...I'm skeptical as to the demand. PJ20 was a 2 night deal at a venue with 37,000...and it didn't sell out. Whatever travel difficulties might have prevented people from getting into East Troy was off-set by the number of people with the attitude that they were going to be there, no matter what.
If we consider this a comparable show/event to a PJ20-type thing (which is questionable to say the least, but I'll assume it for the sake of the argument), why does having it at Wrigley (without the "20th anniversary" appendage) make it any more or less in demand?
I do not for a second doubt that lots of people will go. But will it be more in demand than PJ20? I'm not so sure. In other words, if their anniversary show didn't sell out, why would this?

The demand will be greater than PJ20 because 1) it's in the middle of a big city as opposed to far away from anything, which will bring in the curious music fans; and 2) it's at Wrigley Field, which always brings in the curious Cubs fans no matter who is playing
I talked to 3 co-workers today who are 'kinda' PJ fans and they all said they'd go if it was at Wrigley, but they had no interest in driving 2+ hours to Alpine.
So while maybe the hardcore contingent could be lower, the overall attendance would be greater
