not yet. They are in my garage. They sold brackets with them that you install to make them stand. In the arena, they were bolted to concrete on the back & bottom. I need to do some restoration (find the exact shade of the Blue seats) and then make them suitable for sitting.

My Shea seats are the same style and came with brackets, but then I bought the additional feet brackets to make them really sturdy. I sit in them all the time. It's awesome. Of course you have to go through a turnstile to get into my basement room first...

I've never seen that either. I read up on it though. Turns out Lindros never actually attempted a baseball career, that picture was taken when he took batting practice with them for fun. He was very popular at the time, so Score put out a baseball card to try and capitalize on that. It's funny though, the back of the card compares him to other "two sport athletes" like Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson.

Again WTF that is hilarious and why did they put him at 3B? Kelly gruber had that position blocked lol

Can't believe the back of the card compared to him to sanders and Jackson lol talk about hype

Regular baseball and sports cards from the 80s-now (and 99.999999999999 percent from the 70s) are virtually worthless. You really need 60s and older, or from the 2000s it's all about the chase, variant, SP, game-used and autographed stuff. I have thousands upon thousands of cards from the 80s and 90s that I don't want that I'm only saving just in case my kids want them. The only ones I'm really keeping are Mets cards — I managed to collect every regular and traded Mets card for the team's entire history, including decent Seaver and Ryan rookies. But those are the only ones with any type of value. Plus the 2008 Santana no-hitter card, which was an SP 661 and extremely rare.

And I had never seen that Lindros card before either until I Googled it and wrote that.

Correct - but I'm also of the mind frame if you are collecting them with the thought of $$$ down the road, you'll end up disappointed.
I could care less what any of my stuff is worth. The sentimental value, the history of the hunt, etc... is more priceless than any Beckett/collector journal.
I had an "old-timer" collector tell me once, as I was buying a few cards from his store - "so what if the 'book' says its worth $100, it's worth nothing but what it means to you until cold hard cash is in your hand". He was/is right.
    Let's Go Mets!
Enjoy the hunt and have fun going through your cards from time to time.

This may be true, but the problem I have is most of the branding that happened in the 1980s ruined the aesthetic experience of collecting. I don't necessarily collect for value, but it does depreciate my experience when there are 9 different brands of the same players and each one uglier than the last. No offense or anything, but I can't imagine ever displaying any cards from the 80s or beyond. Just too ugly and unless they're valuable (which most aren't), the impetus to keep collecting them is gone.

My comment was more in response to the Rickey Henderson rookies, etc.

One of my favorite things about the card market this century is the vintage and heritage sets where they are using the old designs with current players. I think that was a brilliant idea that actually started with Upper Deck and Fleer. Topps eventually caught up and then set up a monopoly on the overall market.

Good luck with that one.

    True.

    A. Those two hated each other and (through eyewitnesses) both have refused to sign that card at certain times.
    B. Barry has always despised signing autographs in general, at least post 1990.

I had the chance to buy a real one in 2005, but passed, cause I was low on funds. Totally regret that decision.

VanSlyke was born in my hometown and I know his father. He's told me some stories about Bonds and VanSlyke.

It is very confusing these days with so many types of baseball cards.....you need to be a semi-genius to open a pack of cards and determine the rarity of each variant/refractor/autograph card.

Back in my day, we only had Topps, and we were thankful! :?
