Talk about a complete 180 from their known history.

Glad to see a new king in town over there in LA-LA land. Refreshing for the league if ya ask me.

I totally agree....go Celtics I like the green jerseys yesterday.

by that theory I guess you'd rather have guys like bill wennington or kurt rambis than barkley too.

reason number 10 billion why the nba blows...seeing/hearing justin beiber a million times yesterday. then billy crystal for an entire quarter. painful

In my opinion, all 4 major sport leagues the US have their reasons on why they blow. The NBA is just keeping up with the trend. :corn:

Great insight as to why Jazz fans may want to begin rooting for the Jazz to lose (I realize that the only Jazz fans here are myself, imalive, and Pap, but still a good read):

I hear ya. Football to me is an American Christmas must. At least one game, and I say this with full awareness of the piss-poor football fan I am.

I've always been curious where Billy's fan status for the Clippers came from seeing that he's a New Yorker and an avid Yankee fan.

One would thing he'd be a Knicks fan. Him and Larry David need to have a chat.

yeah it would have been nice. but there is no way for the nfl to play a game on tuesday in the last week of the season. we gotta wait a few more years till xmas falls on the weekend again.

he explains it here to the recently deceased larry king. i imagine this is less fraudulent than hopping on the lakers bandwagon when he moved out there...but you gotta wonder why he's not a knicks fan. same with ld.

I think LD is a Knicks fan. Or at least that's what he claimed in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm when he went to a Lakers game with Richard Lewis. and of course, everything you hear on television is the truth. :|

Granted I don't have a great perspective on MLB, but doesn't the league suffer from a similar problem as the NBA where the teams with a lot of money and big markets kind of rule the field?

and depending on your level of baseball purism, there's the PED angle too.

yeah you might be right. i'm just thinking of the episode where he tripped shaq...and then the one where his balls got twisted (long balls!) and then his dvr cut off the end of a lakers game.

nope. look at the playoff teams last year. most were middle/lower spending teams. big spenders like philly, boston, anaheim, LAD didn't make playoffs.

more parity in MLB than any other sport

Thank you for clarifying. Like I said, I'm not too knowledgeable about MLB.
