The women (ex's) can bring this on by being absolute bitches during the break up. The man may then gets depressed... by the time he's doing something to spite his ex... he's not even thinking straight.

no i do understand this, to a point - theres a right & a wrong way to split, and yea, som girls make it very frustrating and hard for the fathers. they use the kids as pawns and guilt trips to get what they want. In a perfect world the kids would spend time 50/50, but it just never happens like that very often.
people can and do get depressed over it. enough to harm themselves, which is just as wrong, but because they are not a child it gets overlooked. And you can scrape alchoholism, drug abuse, and depression right in with suicide on this one - it does just as much damage to a persons life.

But cases like this - the father / mother whoever the perp is, this is just being so selfish and uncaring. Its like if i cant have this child, well neither will you. and meanwhile the poor child gets where?? miserable, alone, dead.

Its the same as that guy who drove his kids into the dam on fathers day and pretended he tried to get them out. he killed them, so the mother wouldnt get them back
I would have boken my hands open on the windows getting them out.

and he pleaded insane. so is this latest guy apparently

but you think if the mother was being that much of a bitch then she wouldnt let him have the kid in the first place, do you know what I mean?
So she was obviously nice enough to let him have his access visit.....

i think you would have had to know deep down what was going to happen here - its full of mineshafts, he went in with a child and turned up out with none. This will sound horrible i know, but i just hope he died before he went down one :(

who knows how she acted. Or how the father acted. Custody can bring out the dirty worst in people if you are not careful.

The only looser here is this poor little boy.

is great - i love the way little snatches of lyrics or symbols mean something to only a few :)

how much did it hurt there?? im thinking of one starting on the top of the foot going up and around the ankle ending back on the inside.

    wrong....

It's 50/50... you are one of the reasons the laws are currently being changed. You are blind... the laws used to be blind... as i said they are evolving for better access for the male who was seen as the lesser party in the situation previously. This idea is archaic.

I hazard a guess you are female...

I agree with Stuart and Lindy on this one :(

When it comes down to it....unless you know the full story in these tragic situations....you can't judge!!

I do find it incredibly hard to comprehend.....someone would have to be absolutely out of their mind to harm or kill a child. I have seen some pretty nasty break ups and can totally see how it would drive a person to such a low, not many of us could even imagine.

This is why I try not to judge.....I've never been that low, so can't understand someone being low enough to commit such an horrific act.

I do get a little sceptial with some of these stories though.....it does seem to becoming a bit of a trend "If I can't have the kids - nobody can" and they know all they need to do is convince everyone they were insane at the time.

if the mum & dad cant agree then the court does still decide atm. they offer mediation and relationship councilling to try & come to an agreement. You have to go in with an open mind. so many people forget that they loved one another enough to create the children they are fighting over at one point in their past, so why should you hate each other so much now. Like two kids in a playground fighting over the same toy...

when i spil with my ex, I offered. the court agreed. He's never taken it up. But ive never badmothed him to the boys. Im a strong believer that behaviour just comes back to bite you in the future. Kids have to confident they came from a good place, not a mistake you made.

    no i'm female...

anyway... everyone was saying oh how it must have been a nasty man to do this... just giving you a possible cause of the scenario...

Nasty men sometimes only happen when they lose their heads and do not know what they are doing.... Maybe the guy was just a nut without any sinister underbelly... (this was not an opening for a topic of convo's about Underbelly!) heh
