I searched jb again 7 worlds collide in dvd and still no item....

morning to all in pj land - very quick post here...

well got home last nite - its overcast here but not as cool as we thought it might be

hols were great - the best weather - however i got bit by a redback (several times the bloody greedy little shit!) on the way up and had to stop off for a couple of hours in hosp while i got checked out. no anitivenom - apparently most people react worse to it than the actual bite - but wholy shit they hurt! and hurt for days! it was like my whole foot had been burnt and the was being repeatedly slashed with a sharp knife. the first nite i couldnt sleep it hurt too much.

i suck at surfing - i could only get to a kneel, and then id just overbalance on one side and that would be it - i have bruises and scabby knees. Riley was a complete natural at it tho.

met Trudi - the kids were very impressed by her, which is by far the best recommendation i could give!! they are mighty hard to impress

and trud, we are thinking up ways of getting that pj gear out, dont you worry!

so, im now working my way thru about a zillion loads of washing.

and without reading back for all these pages - the gorge boxset and showbox? who is getting these? is there any chance of an aussie dvd?

Sounds like you all had a great time. Trudie mentioned that she'd been lucky enough to meet you and your boys. I wish we could ALL get together somewhere....can you imagine.
That's awful about the redback - they are greedy buggers! I remember our eldest boy getting bitten by one a couple of years back and it was the same....he ended up with 4 big welts about the size of fifty cent pieces. Scared the crap outta me! I rang the poisons info line straight away and they said there was no need to take him to hospital or anything and to just wash the bites to rmove any venom left on the skin and for him to rest. I've never been bitten by one myself, but I could see he was in tremendous pain (he's usually a tough little guy), which was so hard for me, not to be able to stop it for him :(
I bet you had fun giving surfing a go....don't give up on it...practice makes perfect!
I've ordered the boxset....didn't get those boots so looking forward to hearing them. What's the showbox that you mentioned?

No, it was announced that Ed would be there, he snuck into Sydney to play with ben harper just after these shows and didn't tell us.

I know what you are talking about with the gorge boxset, but what showbox are you talking about? the dvd from like 2002??

more importaintly - the gorge boxset.... Will it be available in retail stores.
I've seen a few Live @ Easy Street around, not often, and when i've gone back they were gone.
So is it worth paying the $50 + shipping and not getting till late August or waiting.

note: I dont have the bootleg, only stream from pearljamlive.com

Also i fear that 7Cds wont be under $50 if sold in Australian retail stores....

showbox - https://secure.pearljam.com/store/product.spring?categoryId=6&sku=5002 - and remembering again, ive just got back off holiday, my brain is claged and i could be completley stupid, but ive never noticed this one in the goods section before???

surfing - yea, i had heaps of fun at it! i knew itd be hard, just never realised how battered id get - skin off knees, board rash under my arms, bruises - but hey it was all good. i got a few photos taken, but well see if they turn out and ill pop a few up here. and boards for the boys - jason could stand, but wasnt that keen, prefered bodyboarding - riley loved it, and like i said, was a complete natural - the instructor actually had to keep stopping him from heading right out to the bigger breaks. he'll be on a board again without a doubt, but south coast (ulladulla, batemans) is a good 3, 4 hours for us. we'll be borrowing boards me thinks.

and redbacks - they should all be exterminated. mean little shits.

Oh! That Showbox.....yes that was released years ago....I think it was like a practice run for the 2003 tour. A gig they did at the Showbox in Seattle. Great DVD (IMO) I watch mine all of the time. Ed makes quite a few funny comments in it....I love when he apologizes to his neighbores for his dogs shitting in their yard

Yeah Ive searched ebay over the yrs looking for it without luck...
I actually watched most of the Ed stuff on youtube recently.
So then I started searching again for it......

Yeah Ed also crept onto King Island at the same time...he did the Ben harper thingy..

Love the Perth poster. I tried to get a Perth CCFA poster when they were first on there last year, but missed out. Have been trying to get one on eBay since, but the prices have been to exxy for me. Believe me....if I had the money, I'd pay anything, I want one so badly, but I don't have the $$ :(
