Vancouver '09. The crowd was insane that night, and the setlist was awesome! Opened with "In My Tree"...Encore 1 - "I Got Shit", Love ReignO'er Me", "Breath", "State Of Love And Trust", "Alive"...and an awesome performance of "Indifference" with Ben Harper. Overall just a mezmerizing experience!Vancouver, BC - 2005

In Istanbul in 1996 I was parted from my sister and best friend with a wave of people and was too weak to even stand up till one of the last songs but in Sweden in 2000 it was sooo nice. People were not pushing\ it was fresh air with black backed gulls and paragliders above us. And they also appeared earlier than scheduled or something. We were scattered around and we just heard them start playing. Made me happyLiving is no laughing matter: you must live with great seriousness like a squirrel for example - I mean without looking for something beyond and above living, I mean living must be your whole occupation.

Also, I don't really know, but it could be the closest I ever get to the stage on a GA floor (or ever), so that was a lot more than awesome for my first time. I may have been spoiled at my first show... GA right in front of Mike sets the bar pretty fucking high right off the get go. It will be hard to move back into the rafters! But I am hoping that my best is still in my future, again and again!
Another good answer. Mine too!
Ditto, was very fortunate to meet most of the band before seeing my first show and to have a great seat in such a small arena, once in a lifetime........
I'll see you in the rafters

By far bonnaroo.
I turned 40 in March of that year and it was a year of many personal problems.... I won't mention those here. I needed to get away.
I went to Roo by myself... it was the first time I had EVER been camping! There was a serious incident with rain and some ass-hat yelling through a bullhorn that the big one was coming. If you read this-- dick, you SUCK!
Waited from noon until showtime... great show, great people, great times. I think I was drugged but that's ok because it didn't interfere with the show, only the 9 hours of waiting in line.. I slept almost the entire time! My only regret was not being home with my husband on Fathers Day.
Dare I say that I helped with the rearviewmirror lyrics? I did
Favorite show ever and listening to it right now.

Definitely Hamilton '11-from the opening chords of Given to Fly to the crowd echoing Ed during Daughter-to Ed's poignant tribute to his friend Johnny Ramone, that was one awesome concert! The energy of the crowd was off the charts, and Ed said he knew it would be that way, because Uncle Neil told him so!

I am just so happy to have been there that night, as I almost didn't make it!"A beacon on dry land"0 -

I've not listened to this show in a long time. I must change that this week. The main set is tremendous!!
Like a book among the many on a shelf...

Forgot mine! For shows I didn't attend there are too many to choose from but I listen to Mansfield 3, 2003 a lot. My top show is Berlin 2010. On paper it's not 100% special, Got Some following a poignant Long Road was a bit lame and I'm not a big enough PIL fan to appreciate Public Image. Also Backspacer is by far my least favourite album yet most of the seven songs they chose seemed to fit in with the setlist. There were great moments all through the show, Push Me, Pull Me > Immortality > In Hiding was the start of a great run of songs that made a great main set. Low Light, Corduroy, Worldwide Suicide, Johnny Guitar, Light Years, Comatose. Hearing Spin The Black Circle straight after The End and Just Breathe was immense! The entire emotional second encore was amazing, the only performance of Unthought Known I've truly appreciated, the best Black I'll ever hear, the crowd singing Alive at full volume and Yellow Ledbetter is also my favourite version. The story of how I got in the venue at the last minute is a saga itself and it's just another great memory of a slightly drunken day in the 36 degree sunshine with friends. I forgot to mention hearing Push Me, Pull Me, Love Boat Captain and Sad being soundchecked while we lay on the grass outside the 10c tickets booth. Awesome memories!!

Vic Theater '07. No question. I would be interested in hearing from someone who was at that show but doesn't think it was the best they've seen.

Berlin 09.
Because Wulheide really does shit over everywhere other venue I'd been to. And I wasn't nearly as stupidly boozed up as 10.115 bucks for half a haircut by a novice? I want my money back!0 -

I was at the Vic show. I think my problem is I don't remember much about shows after the fact (and I'm sober at all shows). I just have fun while I'm there. I'm sure my feeling after the show was elation and that I couldn't believe what I saw. I would probably have a difficult time arguing that if I could only see one show that that the Vic wasn't the one I'd go to.
I know Amsterdam II was the best show of the Euro tour, but I had much more fun at the Berlin and Prague shows. I think a lot goes into what a person's favorite show is (who they were with, where the show was at, were they not feeling well on that day, were they stressed out at the time and their mind was somewhere else, etc...).0 -

Best Philly show ever?Johnnyguitarwatson wrote:Philly 5/28/06
In my opinion this was the best Philly show, even better than any of the 4 spectrum shows. Strong performance and awesome set-list... Opened with wash, throw in some satans bed,garden,whipping,porch...I remember the night like it was yesterday.
Not even close. And so you see, I have come to doubt

Unreal show. An absolute blast. Not my favorite philly/nj show, but it's up there.bootlegger10 wrote:Philadelphia - 10/3/05
Check this out: Wash, Brain of J, Sad, Alone, Faithfull, Whipping, Leatherman, Nothingman, Bleed for Me, Blood, Around the Bend, Harvest Moon, Hard to Imagine, Crown of Thorns, In My Tree, Sonic Reducer, Little Sister, Leaving' Here
This was one of the first shows I had attended where the setlist was truly out of control. A perfect combination of energy from the band, energy from the crowd, and a setlist that matched the occasion.
Honorable Mentions: Champaign 2003 (great vibe), Chicago II 2009 (seats were as far from the band as I have ever been and was able to just focus on the music - was great), Columbia 2008And so you see, I have come to doubt

It was unreal. I have seen 10 shows in Philly/Camden and this was the one I enjoyed the most. I would sat it was better than Philly 3, but I had the flu for Philly 3 and 4 so it took some of the fun out of those shows.0 -

copenhagen 2007.
great vibe inside.
first visit to denmark since 2000.
huge build up.
band was intense.
band was tight (remember those days?).. ok apart from eds emotionally flubbing lbc and boom cocking up the intro to love reign... but i'll blame the emotion of those 2 tracks back to back on the venue.
setlist amazing.
where the fuck are those euro 07 boots. :fp:Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.0 -
