sounds like a lot of selfish people that don't give a shit about Ed or his art...there was plenty of them at the shows, completely let the intimate nature of the show pass them by, and instead interrupting that intimacy with ignorant cries of self importance...seems this place is growing in their numbers...a real shame.

shows are out there, ain't hard to find, no one deserves them, accept the privilige if you get your hands on copies, but all this sellout, prima donna, and other crap talk about Ed and the 10 Club because fans are unwilling to respect him enough to respect his wishes is selfish bullshit.

I'm not self righteous or anything, just stating this cause it ain't Ed or the 10 Club that are the problem, if you're complaining about them, then it's you.

Again, the shows aren't that hard to come by, don't PM me, I'm not a source, but I know how easy others have come across them. When the shows are taken down in one place, they pop up again somewhere else eventially.

It is possible that Eddie & his assistants are going to release one Eddie Vedder 2008 Solo Tour CD with their selections of what they thought were the best recordings.

Maybe he doesn't want to release songs with people screaming (who also pissed him off while he was performing). Just a thought....

And "ignorant cries of self importance"? What the hell does that even mean. People taping shows are the quietest, most unobtrusive people in the crowd. I think you're confused about tapers and their motivation.

While I think the prima donna tag is accurate, I would be willing to settle on hypocrite. How does that sound to you? Ed was a taper, against the will of his idols. Do you consider his actions "selfish bullshit?"

Actually, that's exactly what you are. If you don't want to see Ed's policy for what it is, that's cool. The problem is that Ed created a policy which went completely against what he always preached, completely against what he actually did as a fan, and without any explanation - only threats.

doesn't anyone besides me think a lot of the issue has to do with credit? i mean, most of the songs he played was either a pearl jam song so not his own work (maybe he didnt want people having videos of stuff that wasn't soley his own, and felt he had no right to say "go ahead and put it on youtube!"), covers, and the songs that WERE his own was from a soundtrack to a movie, and perhaps there were legal issues with that? i'm not trying to say im an authority on anything, but i do give people the benefit of the doubt.

really? a hypocrite...as cool as he has been about taping in the past, because one tour he wants no taping, you have no idea why, could be so others don't hear it before they go to his show, or maybe he's irritated how much PJ's and others music is illegally copied and shared, hell go to bit torrent sites, all you see is into the wild soundtrack when you search for Ed's music. Nothing hypocrital, just selfishness on the fans part. the selfish bullshit comment was not about Ed, but fans complaining.

If you don't like what he does move on, disrespecting someone who gives so much to his fans, being so selfish as a fan, and the fact that so many fans are to dense to figure it out, well, I'm happy I'm not like that. I'm smart enough to figure out how to get a hold of something I want without crying about how unfair Ed is. I'm sure, since you are claiming to know so much about Ed's taping career and evidently his life policy to allow all tapings of his person shows, he must have been a HUGE whiner when he didn't get his way...that surprises me, who knew!
