Eddie Vedder Solo Tour Recordings

  • Maybe eddie wants the solo shows to be a rarity in itself. somthing that the true believers will search and find.
    Maybe its contractual.
maybe its eedie just wanting to own what is his, he said opposite a long time ago, maybe he was naive to think that way. esp now with easy downloading.
he has to earn a quid to feed his family like all of us, maybe he has more $$$ but it is his music and his right to defend it.
I think many here are completely spoilt and should be thankfull for whatever they get. Instead of bitching about what they havnt been given

If i was able to download the eddie boots now i would still buy the official bootlegs if they ever came out with them.I hope the rumor is true about the dvd also.

    no doubt.
it would be a nice thing to keep it intimate and special, never seen again. but at the same time, it was an incredible experience i'd love to see again and again.

I used to buy bad bootlegs when I was in High School for Pearl Jam at a seedy ass CD store for like $40.
Thank God (for me) the band released the recordings on the previous tours.

Why are they now turning back to the dark ages on the EV shows?

I guess I will have to pay the money now to a downloading company rather than to EV/Tenclub for 3 shows I already paid $75 bucks each to ticketmaster to see...... this dosen't make much sense for anyone (EV, Tenclub, me, etc.).

substitute the word college for high school, and $50-$75 instead of $40, and I could have wrote that. I remember buying a cassette tape in 1993, first time I ever heard them live. Porch was like 15 minutes.
  • An active torrent of any east coast shows would be nice too if somebody would be so kind to pm me.

Can you blame him if there are thousands of posts here just like the one below?

I mean it's human nature....It's impossible not to think, even just a little bit, highly of yourself if you know there are millions of these people singing praises for you on a daily basis :D I know it's hard for fans to admit this. "Oh no, he's very down to earth." Well, I'm not saying there are no warm-fuzzy feelings there from him to us, as whole. Not individually. I'm sure it makes him very happy to know he's got millions of hard core fans and I'm sure he thinks about that when he creates his music either for his solo work or the band. I'm just saying, he knows how we go out of our ways to meet him, break our bank accounts to make it to just a few shows when his band tours. You can not tell me that would not have any effect on someone.
Now, to the owner of the quote above. This is in no way a personal attack to you. Your account of what happens when we meet him is accurate. It is amazing how many people feel the exact same way when they meet this guy. And I belong to that crowd too.

If you find FLAC, fricking grab it and ask for help privately later. Seriously folks, discussing this here is not cool. It doesn't just get the thread removed, it gets the *source* removed, and that sucks. Not as much as the policy itself, but still sucks.

And if I get this post deleted with that attitude, then screw it. I have been listening to Dischord bands as long as if not longer than Pearl Jam, and this stance definitely violates DIY ethos to the core. The Pit and 10C are the new RIAA.
You saying everything a band does should just be given to you on a platter, no charge, with a smile and a thank you?
What kind of thinking is that?
They don't deserve to get paid for what they do?
How many people do you know who work for free?
    How weird.

Hey Eddie- since apparently almost all of your solo shows exist in the digital world already, you can probably forget about making an official release. Not to mention, so many people flaunt their self-righteousness and defiance to your clearly stated policy, maybe by not releasing anything some folks will WAKE UP AND GET A CLUE!
I hold the pain, release me!

maybe eddie is not planning to release boots from his solo tour because jeff, stone and matt have solo works out. he is letting them have the spotlight for awhile.

Speaking for myself, and I imagine some others, I'm glad the boots are floating around as there are some amazing performances. But I will surely buy any official releases as soon as/if they become available. None of the boots sound nearly as good as a pro recording would anyway.

I think an official release would reach out to alot of people outside the hardcore PJ camp...

    especially on I-tunes..

and likely get some radio play as well..
