    Thank you. He loved Where the Wild Things Are when we first started to read to him. I had forgotten about the other stories Sendak wrote. Like good music, good stories open your mind. Alex needs the inspiration of imagination.

    You're most welcome! I wasn't sure at first but when I thought of his age and the size of the books, I figured what kid wouldn't want their own mini library. I always liked the Chicken Soup and Pierre ones the most.

    Sending more positive Chi Alex's way and hoping for the best for all involved.

    Wanted to post an update - been absent for a few b/c I just lost one of my close friends in a tragic accident. Too much bad news too close together.

    Alex has been through round 1 of chemo, and is handling it like a champ. He's eating better and is home with his family. Thank you to all on the board who have reached out to him & his family - your support is priceless!!! Alex is one of the strongest kids I have ever known...we'll be discussing later how he beat this terrible disease!!!

    And a huge thanks to my friend Lt. Nathan Boyle of the Miramar fire department for donating his fire helmet to Alex. It brought a smile to his face. Thanks also to the fire departments around the country reaching out to Alex as well. It's truly been a beautiful thing to see the level of support. Bump this post - need to keep Alex's story in the forefront. Thanks again all...

    Alex update:
    He's back in the hospital...if his temperature reaches a certain degree, he has to be admitted. He was also given a
    nasogatric tube. Hopefully, this will get him some much needed calories and hydration. Round 2 of chemo coming up in a week or so. Send love & prayers to Alex!!! & follow my little buddy @ http://www.facebook.com/AlexShabman
