    That is kinda cool!! :)

Thanks! (I'm kind of a sciencey nerd)
First bag I got, I sifted thru at a different place, found 19½ carats, 3½ carats were of gem and cuttable quality, I sent those off to get cut, and I am going to see what they look like and get them set in a ring that I design. It will remind me of PJ weekend. :D

(gee...that sounds super nerdy  )

that's pretty awesome...reminds of when I used to go Ruby mining in NC as a kid. Got so into geology as a kid I bought a tumbler. That thing was fun. You just throw in a bunch of rough stones in there with some sand & water and tumble for a few days and then you have pretty polished stones.

I think it's awesome, not nerdy. :) I wish I had something like that to do... I was so deleriously ill (and drunk at times) that I didn't even remember to take photos, much less get a bag of sapphires to make something out of to remember the weekend. You have good ideas.

I actually found 2 rubies in the sapphire gravel (rubies are red sapphires). :)
I have wanted a rock tumbler ever since I was in 7th grade! In science class we picked out rocks and my teacher put them in the tumbler and we got to clean them off every week and watch how they changed shape after each stage of grit. It was really fun.

We also went to the Delmoe area and found a bunch of smoky quartz, I'm putting them in an acid bath later this week to get rid of the iron. So far, they look like some nice pieces.

You can order the bags online...(shipping to Canada might be pretty expensive though-unless when I order my next bag, you can get one too, then we could meet up and find sapphires together)
I've been wanting to do the sapphire thing for years, I kept getting the  from Mr. RK so I finally put my foot down.

Yeah, sapphire hunt with RKCNDY! :) ... massive PJ weekend at Seattle/the Gorge next year baby! Right people? ;) Sapphire vests will be be made! :D Btw, I had no idea that Mr. RKCNDY was feeling so fucked up from the heat on the floor that night... I was feeling so shitty before the music started that I didn't even muster an intro/nicetomeetcha at the time  Tell him sorry I wasn't in the mindset to engage (even tough it sounds like he wasn't either) - to you too, actually... I was zombiefied before PJ came on, trying not to pass out myself. :)

Morphine chick, or some other unsavory broad?
If I had a nickel for every irritating girl my male roommates used to bring home with them, I'd have, like, $3.

I don't mind her. I just hate the same person coming over to my house every fucking day when they don't live here.

I especially hate seeing her when I wake up at 6:30 in the morning

I might actually do that. I really might. I can hear her talking right now... it sounds like a dude talking but in a higher pitch... she talks like a female "bro".

would it make any difference if she made dinner for you every night?

No. I hate people coming to my house everyday. I hate it even more when I wake up to see them eating my fucking food at 6:30 AM.

I won't get into it...tell your roommate you don't like it, you pay your part of the rent anyway. Or tell him she needs to start paying rent too.
