    His name is Alex Shabman - so cool of you to go the extra mile. He's got a year plus ahead of him with treatment, more will be known on Monday. He's going to be in house 10 days for now. Much love to you.

    The posts and well wishes are coming in faster than I can keep up. I just showed Alex the wall. As I scrolled down the long list and read some of them to him, he asked 'who are they?'.

    He smiled in amazement. Especially after I explained that you are kind people from all over the great big world and many of you Mommy and Daddy have never even met.

    I've only seen him smile 3 times since Wednesday. Thank you all so, so much.

    I hate hearing about things like this. A child dealing with cancer. How cruel. Having a 3 1/2 year old son myself, I really hate this. I wish the very best to him and his family.

    Thank you so, so much. Jamie and I are touched by the support of the 10C and Pearl Jam community. We just took Alex's older sister to her first concert at Music Midtown in Atlanta. I so look forward to introducing all our kids to the experience of music through Pearl Jam. Among so many other things, the thought that he may be deprived of the joy of a band opening their minds pains me very much. We hold positive.
