Is that because they weren't in cheerleader costumes?

no.... it was really because i had a cheesecake defrosting in the fridge :)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Haha!!!! In my young days, I used to hang out a lot with musicians... and yep... one doesn't really do hotel rooms.... can get waaaaaayyy to out of hand.. even for me!!!!!
Yeah, somehow I found myself hanging out with my share, too. And of all the band guys I've met, the GNR guys were definitely of the ones I was not really attracted to! They came off as a little cheesy. I had no idea they were creative geniuses as I missed watching their part of the show for social aspects of the night. In hindsight, knowing what I know now, I'd have loved to have picked Axl's brain though in actual conversation, but it seemed that wasn't really where he was at that night!

The one regret I do have is that Geoff Downes once invite me to dinner, and I turned him down. The guy was in the first video played on MTV!! And by my standards was probably very interesting! And he was very nice and respectful. He was a lot older than me and wasn't really my type because of it, though!

Actually, it was completely unintentional on my part, and just my natural response to both Axl and Slash being WICKED. At the time, my sister and I were into the LA sound, and all the hair metal bands, and kinda looked the part. So considering really no one else did at the concert, they gravitated towards us, and hung out with us. Slash was a friendly bubbly guy, and Axl was shy and quiet. Eventually, they invited us to their hotel room to which I replied, "I'm sorry, we don't do hotel rooms". SO, I'm NOT actually wanton and wicked at all, but rather an innocent girl protecting herself from the likes of predatory men!! ;) Needless to say, they were a little bit chastized seeming and somewhat sheepishly began focussing their attentions elsewhere! :) I have a healthy fear of serious band-guys. :)

    haha cool story
i loved them back in 92-94

Asia! I wasn't really a huge fan, but they were playing a local club and my "Yes" obsessed guitar playing brothers came to town to see them, so I went. And I knew being a girl I could get my brothers to meet the band. (I was in high school in the Buggles era!)

I liked Guns and Roses for about 2 weeks when I worked at McDonalds in 1987 - 1988. Everytime I eat a cheeseburger now they come to mind.

:D Lyrics did make me think a bit but she was very young when she started nicking my cd and I figured at that age, you couldn't really make out the words anyhow (except for a fuck here and there!). I then I thought by the time she could more or less understand them, she would know 'all about things' and also understand they are rude! But hey... she's my lil' rockin' goth! :D
