The majority of fans don't post on this board. I doubt even the majority of those who post on this board really cared. I mean it was available for 3-4 weeks the first time around.Murderers. wrote:PJ-20 re-release, (which the majority of the fans wanted btw)0

Thank you 10Club for re-releasing it! I just ordered it on blue-ray and these where the first blue-ray discs I've bought. Now I have to buy a Blue Ray player...Stockholm - 07/07/20120

I wasn't even a member back then. This is great for the people who became members after that sale, and everyone who couldn't afford it at the time, and everyone who just missed the sale for any other reason.MG79478 wrote:The majority of fans don't post on this board. I think a lot more people are happy about this than strangely mad about it. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

I just bought 20 Blu-ray and 10 DVD in hopes this sells out. If it doesn't I'm screwed. The profits off re-selling will hopefully cover my costs to the upcoming PJ20 fest.0

it's tough to blame the band when people will buy everything they sell. They're simply supplying all the crap that the people are buying. and making bank in the process“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”0 -
Some asshole is doing a bait and switch on ebay. Picture of a sealed version of the first edition, but the description, if you read closely, is for the new version. now THAT is wrong.Download the unofficial Pearl Jam Stat Tracker app for iPhone/iPad. i dont even see why he would have to do that. These aren't rare anymore and it's DVD's not vinyl first editions or whatever. All sets should be worth no more than $40 now. I don't think clumsy original packaging counts as an added bonus or makes this more collectible.
Anyone that pays more than $40 on ebay for these now almost deserves to be ripped off. Again we're talking about DVD's here. 0 -
Agreed. Anyone stupid enough to spend more for a "first pressing" DVD deserves to get ripped off! ... I can't imagine there is anyone in the world who would do that though.cp3iverson wrote:PJStatTracker wrote:Some asshole is doing a bait and switch on ebay. First editions of everything will always be worth more to the collectors of such things.
Just consider a first edition Hemingway novel which people would spend thousands for vs. a re-print that you can buy for $5. Same content, but when collecting is involved that doesn't matter much. Not that I'm calling the first edition of PJ20 a first edition Hemingway, but you get my point.
This guy is capitalizing on that and actively trying to rip people off. Dirty.Download the unofficial Pearl Jam Stat Tracker app for iPhone/iPad. It's FREE.

I don't think of first editions of books or vinyl at all comparable to DVDs, particularly because they are not items that become obsolete as technology progresses (I mean, in the case of vinyl, people love it because it's still best quality and everything. The same can't be said about a DVD) ... who "collects" DVDs???? Don't people just want the movie to watch? DVDs do not appreciate in value or anything, and are very easily copied. I mean... I have a 20th anniversary edition of E.T. on VHS. Should I cling onto this valuable collectable?PJStatTracker wrote:PJ_Soul wrote:
