  • :? Isn't it just cardboard anyway? $20 less for packaging? I think we all know its all marked up in price anyway just like any movie or video game, but physical production can't cost more than a couple dollars a piece right? Also a dvd can play in a blueray player so I don't think there's much worry about not being able to watch it in a few years...

    I can't believe what we have become, I can't believe we argue about 30 bucks which probably would have ended up in beer and pee the morning after... glad everyone can get to watch all three discs now, at a lower price, yeah I paid 59+shipping for the DVD set, and I least watched all three discs every weekend ever since I got it for almost half a year, which is somethign that has more value than 30 bucks, which in my case would have probably ended up in beer and pee the morning after...

    I'm sorry, on2legs, but the silence from all parties involved with this project is insulting as it is. Pixelation is not a product of circa-1993 analog video, rather the conversion processes involved in getting the source content onto a digital disc, and it is present on numerous portions of the film (especially, as mentioned, in the bonus discs). In addition, this pixelation is also visible on footage that seems to have been shot during the European tour where Imagine in Cornice's material was from. There was no pixelation observable in Imagine in Cornice, but there is in PJ20.

    A large corporation made a forum for its customers, hired administrators to monitor said forum, made a faulty product, and (my guess is) instructed them to remain silent on the customer complaints when they received them. I love this band, I appreciate the fact that the Ten Club has a small number of personnel on board and that it is very much a 'family entity', but these facts should not leave them unaccountable for when things go wrong - especially when their customers are paying upwards of $70 for a three-disc video. Hell, even an apology and note that unfortunately, at this point in production that they are incapable of resolving the issue, would have gone a long way.

    And let's be honest here folks... HOW DID THEY NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THE DEMAND WOULD BE??

    Everyone is SO HAPPY that 'everyone' gets to enjoy this... they're missing the point that 10C had the opportunity to make 'everyone' happy a year ago.. but for some mysterious reason did not.

    You should of received a "Ten Club LLC Order Received" email. If not check your order history over @ http://pearljam.com/goods/account_history.php . If it's there, you're good to go.

    I would LOVE to see the forum's reaction is they RE-released Benny Hall for $20.00 tomorrow.

    "Due to high demand.... 10C is happy to announce that we are re-releasing Benaroya Hall in a newly limited and numbered #3000-#4000 edition for $20.00 because we decided not to include a couple of stickers to pass those costs on to you."

    Gimme a break.

    And this isn't the first time. White Backspacer comes to mind. How about those folks who shelled out $200+ to get a copy of that because it was 'limited'. Few months later... 10C mysteriously finds more and puts them for sale. These business practices make no sense.

    Make to order. Pre-sale.... do whatever you need to do.

    10C ... if you really cared about making 'all' the fans happy... you would manufacture to meet the demand of 'all' the fans.

    Enough of this limited edition bullshit.

    damn. That much cheaper and a nicer case? People should pick these up while they can. Someone ripped off the 10club on the original case production and in turn they charged a ridiculous amount for the original deluxe set. Go to Target and look at all of the 6 disc bluray sets for under $50. In much better packaging. Glad 10club got it right this time.

    Regardless, that's really cool of the club to reissue these. They make money and the fans are happy.

    Ah! If that's the case, would be weird to have the standard black plastic DVD case for it's Blu-ray release where they all pretty much come in clear sweet shades of blue.

    :lol: Yeah, the limited bullshit is bullshit. Why keep everyone feeling like they missed out, and restrict their enjoyment of the music?? I feel especially strongly about any vinyl. Vinyl should NOT be a rare item EVER. And if they have problems gauging demand, then always do pre-orders so they know how many they will sell right off the bat (with a good long space of time during which people can order - at least a month).
    I sure do with they'd reissue Benny Hall though, if only to bring those fucking RIDICULOUS resale prices down.

    sent a mail to members,give lets say a month to preorder,produce as many as the orders..
    and thats it..i hope they can do it and its easy as it sounds..
    x number preorders,x items to sell..end of story..

    and i sent another sms to another etc..

    sure..but they will buy the one they want the item,as many they want,not the ones saw it first,had the money at the moment ,was online..etc.
    especially the items has music or video,need to be that way..
    backpack and hoodie ,posters stickers arent that important..
