THE WINNER OF THE BEST SEATS CONTEST IS FROM MONTANA?REALLY?

Wow, the winner of the Best Seats in the World contest for PJ's Missoula show to raise money for Jon Tester just happens to be from MONTANA... close enough for a convenient PHOTO OP with Tester himself. I had to personally e-mail Tester's Web site to get the information about the winner because neither Jon Tester OR Pearl Jam posted the winner's information when or where the contest rules said they would. What are the ODDS, out of all of the entries among PJ's fans around the world, that the winner would be from Tester's own state of Montana. How fortunate for Tester because it gave him a great photo op on FACEBOOK, in case you are wondering where they tucked away this information. I'm a Pearl Jam fan, but I'm not an idiot. And THIS is politics. If what I believe happened really happened, which is the equivalent to finding a needle in a haystack, then Pearl Jam and Jon Tester are no different than the corporations that they pretend to be fighting against. I pray that they did find the needle in the haystack and, to every PJ fan, I ask you to not look at this with emotion, but with pure simple logic. Do the math. JUST DO THE MATH.

    You might want to consider that this contest may have been promoted around Montana....if it was, there would probably be more local entries than thru the 10C.
    Also....did the contest allow multiple entries? If so, it wouldn't take much for someone to dump $10k in entries in under a few specific names...if that's the case...pretty greasy, but still legit.

    Also if the Tester campaign had a choice in who went (as opposed to a random drawing) very convenient they picked someone from Montana so they wouldn't have to spend campaign money on airfare.

    I have considered that the contest was promoted in Montana but if you have been receiving almost daily emails from Jon Test's compaign like I have, then you know that this contest is being promoted nationwide and everyone is being asked for money, not just Montanans. And yes, "stuffing the ballot box" would be GREASY INDEED.

    Totally shady. I wondered why the jontester.com/pearljam page completely went away. Now I know why. I know that this is challenging to every die-hard Pearl Jam fan, but if Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder stand for what they say they stand for, then someone on the PJ team should have been the first to make this post... not just a fan. My guess... they knew it all along.

    Finally, someone with a brain is standing tall, in the midsts of cowards. I won early entry wrist bands for the show. Have already made all reservations. Flight, accomodations, etc. Now, I don't even want to be part of this political circus. But, I have to get my wrist bands in person. Convenient for business in Missoula. Ironic. So, I must fly there and get my wrist bands. I am considering selling them, not attending a hypocritical show. I would lose my integrity, as I see it, for myself. If anyone wants a shot at attending this lifetime, controversial, show, hit me up. I will charge only what I have vested so far. And, for anyone that thinks the winner being from Montana is a fluke... - put down the remote control, stop eating fast food and grow a pair. By the way, I have two 'early entry' wrist bands on the floor. Thank you weisheitk. You have restored my Faith in standing up for what is RIGHT!

    Well, seeing as how the show is IN Montana, it's not unreasonable to assume a bunch of Montana entries. Even if you want to jump to a conspiracy, any individual's odds were extremely low anyhow. Envy is never worn well, I guess.

    There is no conspiracy. Mathematically it is improbable at best for it to happen. I know it's hard for you to take, but the game is tainted. Deal with it.

    Not saying you are right or wrong, but I'd love to do the maths. Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how many entries were received in total, let alone from Montana alone. If you can point me to that info, I'll gladly crunch the numbers, but until then your conspiracy theory has no more credence that the pro-PJ zealots you appear to regard with such disdain.

    Sure, the competition may have been promoted nationwide but I dare say that outside of PJ fans, most people would support locally, surely? This would lead to a much higher proportion of entries from the state.
