Heard KISS from the fair grounds last night. Not a KISS fan personally, but it did sound cool having rock and roll echo all over Como Park.

I saw the Area: One tour festival that Moby put on (OutKast, the Roots, Incubus, Paul Oakenfold etc) in 2001 at Midway Stadium in St. Paul and the set-up was pretty cool. Two years later, before the PJ show at Xcel, Mike McCready threw out the first pitch at a Saints game. Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson played there in 2005. Some shitty metal fest was there a few years back (Godsmack was the headliner...yuck!).

But it's a cool concert venue. Maybe PJ should play Midway stadium? I could walk there!

Haha...maybe Bill Murray (part-owner of the Saints) would come to the show.

The Grand Stand at the Fair is such an underused venue. I mean, they could have concerts there almost year round. It's a stellar place to see a band.

So...my summer is finally slowing down a bit...although its been a historically great one (well, in my own history that is

)...I'm thinking about organizing a drinks get-together the next few months. I'm thinking October (so you can all tell me how awesome Missoula was).

I'm going to pick a night, and you all gotta be there. Last time, my wife and I plugged the Mortimer's Touch-Tunes with like $40 of PJ, and drank by ourselves. Haha...

...so...who's in for a mid-October get together? None of this "maybe" shit either...

Hey, I've been kinda lurking in the background for a while, especially at this thread! I'm not from Minnesota, but I go to college here and would be absolutely down for a PJ show sometime in the next...2 years or so!

I saw REM play at Midway stadium back in 98 of 99 and it was a great show. Thunder and lightning rolled in at the end of the show. The played started playing "It's the end of the world as we know it" and it started pouring. We had parked over by Hamline and we were soaked by the time we got there. Good memories.

I went to the fair for work today and saw a car with a PJ sticker that read 'Built to Last' on 94 East. It was at about 11:30.

I'm down at Carleton, and I would totally be down for that but unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it

) I'm in Rome for the semester. But if you'd like to do a...mid-May get together, I'd be down for that haha.

Its always supposed to happen but no one else wants to organize it and everyone's always a "maybe."

I'll pick a night at some point and hopefully people will come out. If not, my wife and I will drink alone and enjoy the best Mortimer's has to offer.
