I posted this bulletin on myspace this morning. Tammymarie67
HE has layed out a set list before us........ Thanks Ed!
Body: Last night, perhaps, was not a good night for Eddie Vedder in Milwaukee. I can't speak for him but I was part of the experience and I was ashamed and a bit angry about what happened.
Don't get me wrong, the show was great!
This man, this really FAT self absorbed glutton of a man, kept YELLING REALLY LOUD. First, Ed made a joke about it saying how it was his show and his name on the marque etc.... Then he directly asked the man to stop being so loud, saying amusing things like this is your first time in velvet seats and I was going to have an Old Milwaukee after the show but now I'm having second thoughts....
THEN he actually said CAN YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP??????
After a couple more songs the stupid self absorbed asshole did it AGAIN. Ed feel right out of his chair face first on the stage and layed there for a minute or two. Then he started doing push ups and everyone started counting. He didn't say anything more to the man.
The big mouth man was sitting over in the next section and security went over to talk to him, they should have removed him but he was so big and fat, it would have taken probably 6 guys to try to drag him out. They must have given him a warning cuz he didn't make a peep the rest of the show.
When the security guard told him to be quiet, he said "IT is my right"
What about everyone else's rights to enjoy the show and respect for Ed? You may want to hear a certain song but he has prepared something special for us and we should be thankful for WHATEVER he plays!!! I know I was! Ed quoted, I think he said Bruce Springstein, called him uncle Bruce that He(ED) doesn't only have to look out for himself but for all the other people here that are trying to enjoy the experience.... Thanks Ed!
One time I was at a REM concert and people kept shouting and Michael Stipe said "I am not a jukebox!"
People. like this "entitled" man, need to wake up and realize that THEY are not the only person that matters and it is better to give (keep your mouth shut) than receive.
:-)
Not sure who it was, but when the crowd was shouting-out song titles, the singer replied:
"Yes, I am well aware of my back catalog" .

I propose Pearl Jam hire a 3rd guitarist, specifically former Dokken guitarist George Lynch.
Then in his honor the band should change the fan club name from 10 club to Lynch Mob, it is more appropriate these days. This weekend we rock Portland0 -
Get_Right wrote:and if thats the first time you sat near someone at a show that was loud, obnoxious or too drunk then you are lucky-its a part of going to a rock show, for better or worse. And while you may distinguish between a full PJ show others do not. Its ed man lets rage. There are people that go to shows just to yell and get drunk. Its been that way forever. Its just part of going to shows. Now about those damn phones.....................
Sorry, but I gotta disagree with you. I don't think it's part of going to EVERY rock show. There are plenty of artists whose shows are not about getting drunk and screaming and yelling. Frankly, I think it's time for the band to get involved and seriously consider not selling beer at any of the shows. Some people cannot just have one and stop there. There seems to be an inordinate amount of drunk people at PJ shows. If people cannot do without a drink for two hours, they have a problem and they don't belong at a concert ruining it for everyone else.
I agree the 10C should consider revoking the membership of these a-holes. Why should the rest of us have to suffer?0 -
My wife and I were sitting right across the isle from you guys.....and talked to Sean (that's his name) at the pre-party for a while. Yeah he was wasted but at the time, I didn't think it was bad enough for him to get kicked out....but we had a isle between us. My wife was at the restroom when they took him out the first time and they told him if they had to come back again he was going to jail. When he came back in, from what I saw was him just being drunk and singing loud. I didn't think he deserved to be kicked out.....BUT I didn't realize he was threatening people and kicking the chairs.glaseb01 wrote:Yeah I was the guy with the hat. . It should have never gotten to that point, yeah I felt real great when this violent drunk dude who knows I had him booted comes and sits back down next to me. But thanks for the support when I brought security the FIRST (well actually SECOND) time.
Guess there's more to the story than what I saw and I was sitting right there. But did you really think you deserved to get a refund for your tickets?Like a word misplaced...nothing said...what a waste0 -
Might come across as a tad hypocritcal while Ed sips his wine and Stone and Matt enjoy their Heinekens.unleash the door wrote:Frankly, I think it's time for the band to get involved and seriously consider not selling beer at any of the shows.
Plus I doubt any 20,000 seat venue would agree to close the taps and forego that revenue for the night. This weekend we rock Portland0 -

As for the fat asshole on the first floor.....If he was wearing a black dress shirt and had a thick Chicago accent and if his friend was on crutches.... I had an interesting conversation with him outside before the show where he exclaimed "what the fuck, I got 5th row seats, big fuckin deal... not like I'm in the front where I should be, blah, blah, blah," and later said he had tickets to one of the Chicago shows. So, watch out for this fucker! And if you see him, kick him in the balls for being so goddam disrespectful(what his mother should have done years ago)
As for every other loudmouth asshole at the show... SHAME ON YOU! Do any of you have an ounce of decency or respect in your bones? If you are going to hoot and holler all night, go to fucking Wrestlemania or something! The man asked multiple times for people to shut the fuck up. Apherently all that meat in your head has clogged your eardrums, cause you sure have a hard time listening to what you are told.
I have never been soo embarrassed at a show in my whole life. What a shame, when this was a seemingly special tour date that Ed chose specifically, and a few assholes made a mockery of it.milwaukee '95, alpine valley '00 & '03, St. Paul '06, Lolla '07

I haven't been to the EV solo shows, but it sounds like there are a lot of these jackasses in the crowd.
Pretty sad PJ fans, pretty sad (Yeah, I know most of you on this board aren't THAT guy...but it's really pathetic to know there are so many of them out there).
Grow up people!0 -
I had an aisle seat and the security and the drunk guy fell on me while they were dragging him out. I also then got jabbed a few times with the other guys crutches while they were trying to get the drunk guy out.
Come on people why in the world would you act like this? Seriously I just don't get it.
It was still an awesome show but could have been so much better if there weren't so many rude jerks in the crowd. To 10c; "Your PJ tshirt should be tight enough to show you're a woman and loose enough to show you're a lady." - bionicamy0 -

Is he pissed at himself for getting shitfaced and acting like a moron or does he think he's pretty cool because now he's got a story to tell about getting booted out of an EV show?
In any case, i agree something should be done...
No shit on this. That fuck. Should feel ashamed0 -
to unleash the door and the idea of not selling beer at shows: go sell crazy someplace else0

Yes that would show his true character- is he beating himself up(because sometimes people just have too much fun especially when they are really looking forward to something- they just get carried away in the moment) or are they showing off, I think maybe the hecklers are just showing off- it doesn't seem to matter to them they are pissing people off cause they are getting noticed0 -
If security started ejecting people disrupting the show immediately the problem would go away... literally.I smile, but who am I kidding...0

Yes, that was the guy, and I am not surprised by your conversation with him cause he said similar stuff to me, as far as his friend with the crutches I have no problem with him, he was respectful the whole time and just trying to get his buddy to get a grip . . but at the end just gave up and leans over to me and says I am outta here because I am not getting arrested for this idiot!0 -

When he is not so drunk he may be a decent guy, but considering he was holding 3 mixed drinks for himself right when we sat down and got more after that . . im pretty sure he was a little worse than when you talked to him . . the only reason I went and got someone was because he was violently banging on the older ladies chair in front of him, she turned around and sternly asked him to knock it off and he started doing it even more. Then when he came back he started threatening me and the girl I was with, she actually though he was going to hit her. And at no point did I ever ask for a refund for my tickets?! I have many good memories from the show and that guy will not be what I take away from the show . . . but I still felt that I had to voice my opinion to the managers of the venue for letting a guy that annihilated come back in after getting pulled out the first time . . . at no point did I ask for anything nor expect anything.0 -
Yeah....that was him. He was at the pre-party also. And HAD tickets to at least one of the Chicago shows. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have them anymore.brainofT wrote:As for the fat asshole on the first floor.....If he was wearing a black dress shirt and had a thick Chicago accent and if his friend was on crutches....Like a word misplaced...nothing said...what a waste0 -
I wasn't defending him and I don't blame you for getting security.glaseb01 wrote:When he is not so drunk he may be a decent guy, but considering he was holding 3 mixed drinks for himself right when we sat down and got more after that . . im pretty sure he was a little worse than when you talked to him . . the only reason I went and got someone was because he was violently banging on the older ladies chair in front of him, she turned around and sternly asked him to knock it off and he started doing it even more. there is always a "that guy" at almost every show
although as I said I was very impressed by the fans at the radiohead show I saw a few days after EV at NJPAC
as far as the no drinking rule goes, say hello to $300 tickets without that concession revenue-aint gonna happen anytime soon0
