Drunk guy at Milwaukee, please read and act!

One idiot made the Milwaukee show look like a joke. I've heard that at other show's people have been yelling out. It was just a handful that wouldn't stop, but the icing on the cake was the drunk guy who got thrown out.

I was wetting myself when I scored 4th row center for the show. The idiot was in row 5 and 2 seats over from me.

In fact. He was Row E Right Center Seats 1 & 2. Can we please revoke his membership for this embarrassment.

He was swearing, hitting the chairs in front of him while "rocking out". he sang so loud and wasn't even in tune or singing the lyric's right. People compained 4 times before the ushers came to throw him out. and that's when he put of the fight and had to be dragged out.

It almost ruined my night......but how can 4th row center really be ruined.

Seriously..........They need to revoke his membership. If it was his buddies membership, that guy was just as annoying. I would never let a friend act like that.

Bump!

Didn't realize there was a code of conduct associated with joining the 10C.

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
  • If you get so drunk that you stop a show and fight with other people.........then yes. I think there should be a code of conduct for that.

In the beginning a couple people asked him to calm done and he started yelling back wanting to fight them. Nothing wrong with the singing part, but he was sloppy......dude, he got dragged out and fought with the ushers. Why should someone like that get all the benefits everyone else gets.

maybe it would be a wake up call to him in his life

Going to an EV solo show means you can´t rock out like you would at a regular PJ concert.....seems pretty obvious to me....behave appropriate....

Some sports team will revoke season ticket holders tickets for drunk, unruly, inconsiderate behavior. It doesn't matter if it isn't you in the seat, but even if you sell your ticket to someone who behaves this way, your tix are gone. I don't think it is unreasonable to have the same standard for the 10C. You are a member because you love PJ, and supposedly you want to enjoy the enjoy the performance. If your behavior is disruptive to those around you, you should lose your membership.

  • Most everyone is annoyed by people like this, but I think he means there is no precedent to revoke his 10c membership. We should just get his address and kick his ass.

I'm not sure what it means to "whipe" one's ass. I'm hoping you meant "whip"? :D

I think this is also an acceptable solution.

  • I wonder how that guy feel today.
Is he pissed at himself for getting shitfaced and acting like a moron or does he think he's pretty cool because now he's got a story to tell about getting booted out of an EV show?

In any case, i agree something should be done...

  • And I'm sure he spent a night in jail. The way he was fighting with the ushers. No doubt. That was a straight up Public Drunkeness and Disorderly Conduct. And for Downtown Milwaukee that's about a 12 hour stay in jail before you can get bailed out.

Also, the guy was like 40. I'm 34 and would never think of acting like that, even if I was hammered. Dude should totally know better.

And I don't know the stay in jail because i've been there, my in-laws are both retired Milwaukee Cops.

I agree that people have been disrespectful at the shows-its an ongoing problem at all concerts, especially GA shows and Im not condoning his actions

    BUT
acting civil or sober has never been a requirement for membership-trust on that one

and if thats the first time you sat near someone at a show that was loud, obnoxious or too drunk then you are lucky-its a part of going to a rock show, for better or worse. And while you may distinguish between a full PJ show others do not. Its ed man lets rage. There are people that go to shows just to yell and get drunk. Its been that way forever. Its just part of going to shows. Now about those damn phones.....................
  • they should have cut his hands off, then he would not be able to hold any beverages again.
  • and just to clarify....being drunk and singing loud at a show is not even in the same league with starting fights, threatening girls and hitting someone's chair.

The girl sitting next to him asked him to calm down and yeah, he basically swore at her and threatened to beat her and her boyfriend up. No one should expect that because its a rock show.

I was hammered at Chicago night 2 in 06. But I didn't bother anybody.

well threats of violence against women is a different story
not sure its grounds for revoking the membership, but certainly grounds for removal from the venue

That's the main issue here, i think...it WASN'T a "rock" show. And if all you know is how to act like you're at a rock show, you have no place there, in my opinion.

Alive, Evenflow and Rearviewmirror sound nothing like Rise, Society and Guaranteed.

A solo musician with an acoustic guitar is a rock & roll concert?

Then is a typical Pearl Jam concert considered a heavy metal concert? Death metal maybe?
A child's rhyme stuck in my head...
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.

see you guys are fans and know the difference
but like I said, there are some that just equate EV with the hard rock no question about it.
    "its ev man lets rage"
  • Yeah, Eddie solo = "rock show"? I think not. Some people's behavior is really appalling. The best is when those a-holes get into "What did you say? I'll kick your ass!" mode.
“I worked really hard on this set. I just told you we’re gonna have a great night, so I don’t need any fuckin’ help from anybody.” EV, 7/2/09

all you have to due is pay and your in
there are many, many, many a-holes in the 10C.

Unfortunately, there seem to be more an more jerkoffs at shows, PJ in particular.

After seeing NY1 and NJPAC shows, I saw radiohead in jersey city at a festival.
One thing I noticed was how much more respectful the fans were at the radiohead show. There were times you could hear a pin drop during the slow songs, and that was 30,000 fans.

I dont know why, but PJ and EVs shows attract a number of loudmouth drunks.
  • I was sitting right next to this guy, row E seat 3. I really think more needs to be said about what really happened here. When I first got my tickets I was soooo excited as this was the closed I have ever been. Then when we went to our seats the guy was already drunk holding 3 drinks, accusing me of spilling 8 of his drinks that apparently he was imagining. So, the show start and he begins singing loudly, I politely ask him to be a little quieter. He did not stop, a few songs later the two people in from of him went to complain and security came and said something to him. Then all of a sudden in his "rocking out" he starts banging violently on the ladies chair in front of him, she turns around and asks him to stop, he keeps banging on her freakin chair. At this point we got up, went and got a security guard explained what was going on, directed them to him, and with the concurence of everyone around they walked him out. At this point I was a little mad because he ruined part of the show for everyone around, but I was Ok because security had dealt with it. This next part is why I am really angry, two songs after they walked him out civily, he comes back in and sits back down next to me!!!!!!! Starts threatening me, asking why I would get him kicked out and what did he do, blah, blah blah. Then a little while later he went into his wild yelling rage an yeah everyone saw what happened next.

We stayed for about a half hour after the show because I was not leaving till I spoke to someone from the venue. After basically getting the cold shoulder, I finally got to talk to the head of security and riverside manager . . . I explained what happened, voiced my opinion . . not really sure if it did much, but whatever.

My point is yes I believe the guy should have his membership revoked, and I understand there is no precedence, but getting arrested (security told me he was arrested) at a show, I believe should set that precedence. I am honestly more mad at the venue for allowing him to come back in after I got security to get him out the first time.

    Thats all I got . . .

You were the guy that had the hat on. I was the guy that sat right in front of you. That was horrible you had to experiance that. It was a relief when he finally got thrown out. I knew he was going to be trouble when he exclaimed real drunk and loud. "This show is going to fucking rock"

You're right though. The ushers did not do their job until the end. He ended up hitting the black guy that sat behind him as he got dragged out. That dude almost knocked him out..........I wish he would have.

Yeah I was the guy with the hat. I guess we have a little different perspective on this matter than most on the board :). It should have never gotten to that point, yeah I felt real great when this violent drunk dude who knows I had him booted comes and sits back down next to me. But thanks for the support when I brought security the FIRST (well actually SECOND) time.

Is James Taylor a rock concert?

I'm not seeing your point here.

There's a HUGE difference between arena rock shows and acoustic shows in small venues.

I think this is obviously over some peoples heads

  • well, my friend and i have discussed this . . . we determined that there is approximately 70% of the people (depending on the venue) that go to PJ shows who are Meat Heads, or Meat Sticks if you prefer, or for short just Meat. We also concluded that its more a 40/60 split at the Eddie shows, in that 40% fan club, with presumably some sort of understanding about what Eddie is about, and 60% Meat.

But, its all scewed b/c this guy claimed he was a 10C member . . . just goes to show that even the 10C people can be assholes as well, which reminds me of the tall kid and his bitch girlfriend who stood in front of me in the 2nd row in Tampa, literally stood in front of me, obviously got into the row by the help of their friends' tix, and when i ask them to slide over a bit and asked where are their seats, i was met with a "what do you care, fuck you" comment from the bitch girlfriend. And where I come from a fuck you comment, in that setting, must be met with a forearm to the chest of the tall kid, just to slide him over a bit. Young, drunk people never realize that fuck you comments shouted into ones face usually begets violence . . . AHHH the enlightened members of the 10C . . .
