There were 4 Pearl Jam lots up for auction:

    1. Mint condition 1998 Adelaide poster (not framed but in that white board-like stuff, wrapped in celophane)
    2. South Pacific 1998 poster framed, signed by the band, personally addressed to Wayne Jarvis (now that I think of it, probably didnt have to buy that one)
    3. Framed tour shirt with backstage passes and tour manager programs PLUS a thick flannel tour jacket.
    4. South Pacific 1998 poster framed, signed by the band in a 3D frame, lined on the bottom with backstage passes and program (the pick of the bunch)

I told myself only to buy 1 of them...

Well I bought all, and still paying it off hehe

Ill get some photos of each thing and try to post them up.

The tour jacket is very cool - wouldnt wear it though, too thick, and bright orange and red in colour, very flannell indeed :D

how good does that newy look against that wall, that's fucking kickarse.

did you paint the wall to match the newy or did it just work out like that?

i might paint some feature walls behind my posters, make them a bit more classy.

It was such a buzz, specially when the PJ lot was coming up, heart started to race, got nervous hehe

Funny story though, I agreed to only buy one, and promised that to my gf (now fiance). So after I bought the first one, she thought it was all over.

Now picture this, we are sitting on the left side of the floor, and im on the left of my gf. We are both watching the auctioneer call up the next one, and I couldnt help myself. My gf couldnt see that i was bidding on the other ones, until she looked around to see who was bidding in our general direction...

No prizes for the look on her face when she realised it was me :D

She had that face that said 'you promised, and i cant yell at you because we are in public'

    Priceless

Jim that is freakin awesome mate!! I got nervous for ya just reading that!! what a great story... and whata great missus you have!
I have a mint pristine Adelaide Tour Poster..... fake though :D:D:D

    Hey DonJon,

I'm not going to Live Earth Sydney now but heard that Vital is going and that he has a spare ticket. :)

Hmm not much interest really. Besides PJ tour I havent really been a concert fan the last 4 or 5 years. Must be my old age.

Went to the Manly v Parramatta game last weekend and had the pleasure of some female fat redneck westie screaming in my ear all night 'yous been offside all night' and the all time fav 'smash him/rip his farkin head off'. Thank God for beer

How much were your Live Earth tiks? You work in the CBD? See the for yesterday morning? Ive got clients on Level 61 at MLC Tower at it was incredible to look out the window - could see the top of about 3 other buildings and that was it

How do fat/ugly people mate? oh yeah again... beer exists...

Live Earth tickets set me back $100 each.

I go thru the CBD of a morning... couldnt see the Harbour Bridge from Circular Quay station. Was very thick... was worse than the other day.

    Bring on summer! haha

Well I hope the Live Earth gig doesn't have a footy match type crowd
Just my luck that Vedder will make a surprise appearance now that I'm not going.

    Seen any whales?

Yeah I had a whale sitting behind me at the footy last weekend.

Heaps of dolphins over summer around Narrabeen - pods of them swimming past most days - awesome animals. They still scare the crap outta me a first site tho
