Wow... can't believe the downers.
OK, so I can't try to explain Jay-Z's marketing tactics, and I too would love to know which date that PJ is playing, and if there is another band I care about seeing, but really....
Pearl Jam is playing a concert on Labor Day weekend, and like they always do, they will play their asses off.
And based on my estimation that 75% of the comments on Facebook are Pearl Jam related, the Pearl Jam Army will be in full force that day and the show should have all the usual feel and energy of a Pearl Jam concert, even though it is technically a Jay-Z festival.0 -

Agreed, and I'm driving 8 hours! At least I have the Wishlist party to keep me distracted from all the other bands I'll have to tolerate haha.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there and the after party

Pollstar lists THE HIVES as playing Sunday 9/2:

Hives are good. If X is playing Sunday as well, this is yet another indication Pearl Jam is playing Sunday.0 -
How the hell do you guys stay on top of these screen grabs! Whatever you do I love it though bc I would never catch that stuff. The Hives would be pretty cool to check out though. And while I don't know what exactly they are waiting for, I feel like there will be one or two more big names to be announced. I mean...it's Jay-Z he won't get a bunch of nobody's to be announced. If Pearl Jam somehow winds up being the Saturday headliner, I feel bad for X and The Hives who will be playing to a crowd of people on Sunday who do not care.0

Boom. And there ya go. Just like I've been hearing from the beginning - I would be 95% confident that they're playing on Sunday.0 -

Yeah, it sure would make more sense to group like music together. Unless, they have the idea that mixing it all up will keep folks there spending money for the entire duration of the weekend.peace,

Are out of towners checking into their hotels on Saturday? I'm starting to wonder what time the music will start on Saturday and hoping I won't miss anyone I really want to see (Dirty Projectors come to mind).severed hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31

Thats what they did for me when I visited Memphis and wanted to get wrecked on Beale Street instead of waiting in the hotel lobby. The problem here may be that bands are going to start playing at the festival with my bags in the lobby. Oh well, I will worry about it if and when I have to.
