It will be a challenge, but it's a better outlook than what they had. It's crazy how in the nba a few moves can change everything

And I believe I heard they signed Reggie Evans for PF assuming Mr. Kardashian ends up in Orlando.... Evans just needs to crash the boards.

I was so relieved to see DWill resigned. Even without Dwight this is a very good team. Lopez will just have to learn to rebound

Wow. Didn't see that one coming at all. So glad to see Nash get out of Phoenix. Definitely one of those guys you hope to see win a title before he's done.

The Lakers gave up four draft picks for Nash. :fp:
Damn I hope this deal doesn't go through.

I wouldn't be surprised if Howard somehow ends up there too.

Let's face it, Nash is old... But he had some terrific years with a lackluster roster besides Amare. They were close

I know In Lakerland it's sport to rip Gasol, but he's pretty talented and last I checked he was never that nasty post player ever in his career. Plus Bynum, Kobe etc.... Nash will be in assist heaven. I can't remember the last time lakers had a true PG like this, Magic??

It might get u a shot.... And Lakers aren't about draft picks

They get who they want, when they want

Nash is pretty old, but the guy takes incredible care of his body. He still averaged 13 pts, 10 assists with a shitty supporting cast in Phoenix last year. It should be interesting to see how him and Kobe play together...this will be great for Kobe since he won't have to handle the ball as much now that he has an actual PG.

I am a diehard Nets fan but I have been expecting Howard to end up with the Lakers for quite some time now. However, someone tweeted last night that LA is not going to get rid of Gasol or Bynum.

This is spot on. I think it's a good deal for the Lakers. Their draft picks don't mean anything. The last draft pick they had that was relevant and is still in their favor was 7 years ago with Bynum.

Sure, Nash is up there in age but has anyone been watching the guy play the past few years? He is playing younger than he actually is, and the Lakers offense won't be relying on him to score as much as Phoenix's may have been. He's got a perfect opportunity to play a great facilitator and feed guys that certainly can score (Bynum, Gasol, Bryant).

As much as I am not a Laker fan, they should be an entertaining team to watch this coming season.

anyone else secretly hoping that David Stern vetoes this deal just because?
Yeah 81 Nick the Quick was pretty good. i liked his swagger both in nba and especially at Cinci. That Laker team with him, eddie jones, cambell etc was pretty exciting. Didnt win shit, but I liked them as a team

    Crazy offseason so far

It almost seems like he needs to because of what he did with the CP3 trade.

    Stern is an assclown.

I like the Kidd move. He'll be playing 18-22 mins a game off the bench, and will be great in that role.

Now go match Lin's offer, sign Camby with the tax payers MLE, sign Pietrus to the vets min because he's probably the best guy out there to fill Shump's shoes defensively until he comes back, and add a scorer for some depth like Willie Green or Randy Foye.

First Deron staying with the Nets, then Terry, and now Kidd. This is turning into a depressing off season of moves for Dallas. I hope Cuban has something up his sleeve. Maybe Dwight Howard (I can only dream).
