mickyfinns is out. they look a little to snooty anyways.
My gut feeling is I'm going to Wal-MArt and buying one of those cheap ass charcoal grills and hitting a butcher and cooking it myself. I don't do well in snooty restaurants while drinking.

i've pretty darn anal when it comes to chicken handling. i don't even like picking it up with my bare hands to prepare it. tongs.
guess 81 doesn't prepare the turkey for thanksgiving...

As others have suggested, either hit up Glacier National Park, or do the Yellowstone/Tetons combo. If you have a couple days either before or after the concert to spend in these areas, get away from the boarwalks and campgrounds and spend a night in the backcountry with the grizzly bears. Once in a lifetime opportunity and you won't forget it. I have literally hiked hundreds and hundreds of miles in these three parks (just got back yesterday from Jellystone), so if you have specific questions, let me know.

Did you say 'hi' to Yogi and BooBoo for me?

I did. They were surly from the hot weather and trying to keep cool in the shade so we didn't bother wrestling. I did wrestle some river otters though and you think those WWE fools cheat...

I would have sent that back. 6oz of steak is just a tease. If the edible portion isn't even double digits I'm not interested.
:lolno:
finn and porter could be an issue. their biggest cut listed is 10oz.
i've found 15oz is just about perfect.
I like 16 oz NYStrips.

I wouldn't trust eating any kind of 'seafood' in Montana (that's my snooty 'I have no problem getting seafood that was swimming this morning')
I can pick up steak for you: http://www.westernmeatblock.com/index.htm

Is there anything better than a trip to a good butcher. To see that guy cutting that bastard up. Mmmmmm
i used to go to a guy around here, and he'd be like, how think do you want it... and then slice it off....
then i saw him handle chicken, put it back, and then pick up beef. last time i went there. yes i'm that anal.
thankfully, whole foods has some nice quality steaks.
I like a nice ribeye...

Just cook the meat and it's good.
I think Sunday will be spent for me drinking and cooking a shitload of steak, burgers, wieners, etc. Almost like PJ20 all over again.
