At least for non jews...these two girls went through a total invasion of their privacy when they were asked to log into their g-mail just to visit and they were refused entry anyway.

    the company I work for will not let it's employees take work lap-tops over seas at all and recomend deleting all files from your personal lap top espically anything rerlated to work before traveling over seas.

    Its getting crazier that's for sure. Just a simple reminder why you should never use email unless you don't mind others reading it...especially those free ones, unfortunately.

    i plan of going to beirut in the near future and i figure cause its next door i cant not go to israel, so well see how that goes. but then again, i dont have a gmail account so.... ;)8-)

    in the spirit of full disclosure i do have another trip to the US planned before i get to beirut... i just gotta figure out when falafels are in season over there. :lol: maybe i should flip those 2 trips. :think:

    when you log into gmail you log into google + and your youtube account as well....they are fishing for info from a lot of different sources. they know exactly what they are asking for and why...

    Oh Lord. Thank you for the insight. The entire thread to that point had been about the email search and I think it was pretty clear I was making a wee jest.

    ANYhow, I assume this happened recently? Will be interesting to see if this gets any play in the MSM. Nothing so far, at least that I could find.

    Lol...those are the first two questions all non jews are asked. They will ask you why you are visiting, where exactly you are visiting, who you are visiting, where they live, whats their phone number and on and on.

    admittedly every time i enter the US i am asked how long im staying and why im there. i also need to show my itinerary to show i plan on leaving the country. oh and theres also that thing about having my photo taken and being fingerprinted... every time. personally i think they should have them on file already and i often wonder if when they compare them they supercede the previous prints and pics or are they collected in a dossier somewhere. they also ask for an address within the US where they can find me... but considering thats an initial address and not necesssarily where ill be 2 days from my entry date i dont know what the point is.

    is it? they ask me why i am in the US and what is the purpose of my visit. they do not ask how many times i have been because they already know the answer. .. and yet i tell them cause i am an honest person. but i also know how to play the game. if i desired i would tell them what it was they wanted to know. who gives a shit how often i visit a country if there is no real follow up? i could lie to them and theyd be none the wiser cause they do not care enough to ask simply because i do not fit the profile which they consider a threat. and if that is the case then that is their weakness for there are many things i do not agree with your government on and yet they allow me to cross your border because they assume i am not a risk.
