If this does turn out to be a free show, it will draw several hundred thousand people. I remember seeing footage of Simon/Garfunkel, and Diana Ross when they played ther park.....huge portion of the crowd had no view of the stage...more of just a communal listening experience.

As long as the sound is good, I could live with just a few glimpses of the stage.

So how sure are we on this PJ thing then?

Couldn't this be just Foo Fighters all along, and someone just made a mistake thinking it would be PJ too?

Would Foo even need Pj to fill Central Park? Foo must be one of the biggest rockband and all ages listen to them.

They did that Hyde Park thing, the biggest Foo show. Maybe this is them outdoing themselves?

I bet PJ will not be there.

Both bands were in early discussions to do a summer tour together, which is what fueled the rumors/whispers, but nothing ever came of it.

PJ was never going to perform at Central Park on 9/29, they'll be busy elsewhere.

As far as FF shows go, Wembley Stadium was bigger than Hyde Park. Would probably be their biggest US show to date though.

I still hope this Foo/PJ thing happens. But I don't believe anything until some official source confirms it.
