I was confused because another posted lead me to believe a Trophy Hunt was illegal
it was exactly what I thought it was after my own investigation.

So you are ok then with legal hunting and if Ted's very minor discretion is the end
of his bad behavior you can then give him props... yes? that would be forgiving.

Pandora - how many times and how many different people have explained what trophy hunting was???? Loads. Even just a few posts back - you're just playing. Stop it. Proof you're baiting - your own words:

So thank goodness I was not confused on that part.

From a law point of view, what is legal is legal. From a hunting point of view, as you very well know, I can accept and can condone ethical hunting for sustenance and therapeutical hunting (if you remember what that is). And as you very well know, I cannot condone canned hunts and trophy hunting which, you know, is the unscrupulous and callous killing of rounded up and baited animals for the sheer thrill of killing 'a beast' with no other reason than to stuff and mount it. I can again give you analogies to make it clearer but that will not work, as we have seen already.

Ted's very minor discretion... Plural to start with. Hunting and killing is Nugent's life - he says so himself. He can't get enough killing animals - he said it himself. He has done so since he was old enough. I will not give props to Nugent - there are many, many reasons. Putting out a message on his shows was a deal made to avoid a stiffer sentence - doesn't mean anything to him. But you know that. I guess I am unforgiving when it comes to the acts committed by Nugent (and not just hunting) which he does not regret at all (said so himself). No excuse for him. But you know that - see some of my earlier posts - you're just baiting me and I'm stupid enough to bite.

Baiting - that must have been the point of your post seeing that Nugent wasn't mentioned.

Oh please, now Ted's discretion is MINOR give me a break. you should become his defense lawyer you would do a great job for him. Is it so hard to say what he has admitted to is absolutely wrong and a fricking crime that most of us would not do? Well is it Pandora. My lord!

    Peace

And "very minor" at that ?! Me thinks not. And I doubt Nugent would want anybdoy to consider his offense minor because that's his bag- getting attention.

I don't think anyone is justifying anything. Well at least for the above. Some are justifying illegal actions but that is not what you are talking about.
like I said Nugent is the jaywalker of poaching, get over that
    nobody here is supporting poachers
its beyond me that you guys can bitch about killing animals and eat meat
i will not get over it.

i like how you just callously dismiss the fact that nugent is guilty of a crime...

i hope you and i get our chance to fight, nugent.

I have tendency to agree with a poster here who mentioned the alarmist attitudes of the left
using the words poacher, child molester, draft dodger in a derogatory way.
It comes from a political place in my opinion.

failing to submit a tag form to the DNR, after a bear escapes, taking another to me ...
ONCE, ONCE mind you ... his charges yes minor in the big scope of poaching.

These actions in my opinion, do not define him to be a poacher
and like child molester using these terms distracts from the very heinous
activities of those who truly are.

Ted's actions were illegal and he is paying his dues that should be the end of it.
But because of bias already in place it will not be for many here, including you g under p
    as you have honestly acknowledged.

So how can anyone debate with any reasonable common
sense when they admit to be biased in Ted' s case alone.

Ah yes... blue, red and..... purple (well... blue and magenta). Why do you always bring this down to politics? Lack of other valid arguments, I guess. I am sure there are people from both parties (or none) which see Nugent for what he is. I, for one. You mention speaking of him in a 'derogatory manner'. Of course - how can one address his actions throughout his life (for which he has no regrets at all) if not with disdain? How would you like to dress up his actions? Well... I see you are trying to minimize and even dismiss them altogether... Scum is scum, wherever one finds it.

Oh well Pandora - I guess one can just live your opinion and forget THE LAW. The law defines him as a poacher, you know better?

    Here's a different angle.

I can't think of a bigger mockery to God, than hanging one of His beautiful creation's HEAD on my wall.

Think about it. We don't own animals. Who in the world do we think we are?
Hanging a HEAD on a WALL...isn't that the utmost form of disrespect available? to the animal and to God?

You see, the human race,, the most "intelligent" and the most "evolved" species are so smart we are stupid.

Anyone who choses to exercise their "free will" by hanging a head on a wall shows just what kind of person they are, whether it's a legal crime or not, it's a crime against God and against nature and against beauty and against what is GOOD.

And as far as using animals for food...Animals HAVE been part of the food chain since day whatever. The most important thing I feel is a humane life and a humane death for animals that are raised for food. (Temple Grandin has done alot towards the humane treatment of cattle both in life, death, and even on their way to death)

I feel my part in this battle is to begin investigation on what needs to be done or who needs to be contacted so that the word "humane" can be changed to something more fitting. if "humane" is a derivative of the word "human", I believe the way humans have been treating animals would leave the word "humane" to be something most undesirable.

No baiting here explanation of exactly how it happened.
While away from the board I thought I had not looked up the definition and should for myself
I even mentioned that to you I believe, then another poster chimed in
and had me questioning what my belief to be.
But upon searching the next day where you quote here I saw I was correct in my thinking.

I see your assumptions about Ted will forever keep that hate going for you.
So I will not approach the subject of you ever forgiving him even after his dues are paid.

While I don't always agree I like his enthusiasm, his convictions, his humor
    and his guitar! :D
