Well Belgium is verry small so the distance is also...from my place to Brussels is like one hour and to the belgian coast is like almost 3 hours...

Btw went to the postoffice this morning it's on his way...don't mind the envelope because it's a silly one...LOL
3 hours? Wow, looks like Belgium is bigger then i thought...
Cool, I like silly envelopes :)

Was it you who they carried out with a stretcher-bearer ??? Dark hair ??...
We left urlyer so we could get the s-bahn on time before the crowd came and then they passed us by at top of the mainstairs before walking down to the exit gate...

I think it's a sad thing that these things still happen....they should pick them out emediatly and put them way back in the crowd or do something else with them....We were on the left side of the stage on the stairs and you could see how rough the crowd was in the second section it was not normal at some points....first section was also jumping and stuff but you defenetly could see the difference between them....first section welbehaved against eatchother you could not say that about the others....don't know witch part you were standing ?

Well hope everything is fine and well with you now and that you are recovered....these things shoulden't have happend..

Yes right, you have propably seen me (dark, curly hair???). Too bad that we weren't at the place, were it was more pleasant to enjoy the show (more space, calmer people...). We were standing directly in front the stage previous to Eddie. Actually I have seen shows of Deftones or SOAD, where standing in the middle of the mad pogoing crowd was more enjoyable than at the PJ-show.
And I really don't know, why there wasn't at least a verbal reprehension from the security employees for the wild rowdies. I was really terrified.
But I hope you have enjoyed the show at least;) Pearl Jam is a great live band - unequaled!!!

Great photos mrk, thanks for sharing those.

Here's some I took that pale in comparison, but capture the time..

and if Laura the gorgeous gal from somewhere out there in germany who was on her way to her first show and who escorted us through all the different trains to wuhlheide is out there, please get in touch.
  • ...he said in German that he never has been here in Germany when the weather was so nice.
weather in German is called WETTER, and is pronounced and spoken just like VEDDER. So he realized it and said:
Wetter, Vedder, Wetter Vedder.... that made us soooo smile. at least me.
    ;)

    Almost right ;-)

In his first little speech he said, that they'd been here before, but never on such a beautiful day (they played the same venue in 2000, but back then it was a rainy day)
In another speech he thanked the crowd for showing up again to see them after such a long time - "again" in german is "wieder" and he mumbled "wieder...vedder...wieder"

    Such a great show!!!
I thought, they were close to taking their clothes off and throw them into the crowd...

  • aha... wieder, wetter, vedder... funny.

thanks for the correction, but almost I had him,
    ..just once ;)

yeah, and I agree: it was such a great show...
saw them in 2000 in Nuernberg and Salzburg, so the Berlin place was new to me but absolute stunning!
...they were close to whatever.. that's for sure :)

(Greetings to Regensburg... I am not far away from it ;) )

I have to admit I only remembered it wasn't in the speech about the venue. And accidentally I found the second speech on youtube ;-)

Where are you from? (Isn't that strange: two germans corresponding in english...)

  • aha again... youtube is the secret.
and I am waiting still for the bootleg to listen to again and to get it right completely...

yeah, it is funny to speak english here, but it is also a surprise to find some Germans here those days... not many seen usually - but I am not so often around the pit either.. so thats probably the reason %-)

anyway, the small town I am living in is located around the Altmühltal,
ever heard of it?... the naturepark between munich, nuernberg and regensburg.
    :)

Pic #8 was taken when the show ended. We were walking up, and out of the venue when I saw the beautiful sight and took a pic of it.
During the show we were on the right side in the back, actually more in the middle, where the sacond barrier stated, so not in the pit. You can see it from the few pics I took, the metal part holding the pole was blocking my view most of the time...also with some ppl moving around and if front of me :(
