To be honest, I don't know why PJ doesn't play South America more often.

we don't know either, but we'd love to! :)

We expect much time until they come, and when they do it we need to celebrate with all our forces!

Im very lucky that they came to my town twice!

Went on shows at Porto Alegre in 05 and last year and the crowds allways get bigger!

Seriously, I have never seen anything like it. Watching these YouTube videos, I've never seen the entire crowd sing along to the guitar riffs. Such an amazing spectacle, now I know why Dimitris wanted to go to Argentina so bad. Before I die, I need to see a big show in South America (preferably Pearl Jam). All of you in South America, keep on rockin'!!

Yes, keep on rockin'! It's awesome to see just how passionate these fans are. It's incredible.

    and the piss break...

    5:25 to the end....

That is amazing! At the shows I've been to, the 10C seats are half empty during Evenflow. Meanwhile, in SA, the entire floor is filled with jumping, singing fans. The guys must be totally psyched to play in front of a crowd like that.

To be honest, I don't know why PJ doesn't play South America more often.

Right on! To be even more honest, I don't know why they don't ONLY play South America. Must be an amazing experience like none other!
    Posimists. Fuck the pessimists...fuck'em.

    Hi,

I went to both Sao Paulo shows last year....The South Amerian crowd is amazing...The U.S crowd doesn't compare to the South American crowds..As far as the energy the crowd delievers to the band..

I don't want to start a "best fans" flaming war here, but I just wanted to say that these SA shows just emphasise my belief that USA fans have, somewhere down the line, lost their true love for the band. It's like they've forgotten why they love the band, and what's most important. They seem to care more about merchandise, posters, hearing rare songs, the 10c lottery, getting Mike picks, setlists, their status amongst their peers etc. etc. I think it's probably born from the ever-growing materialistic culture of the USA. It's so refreshing seeing these SA crowds (and, to an extent, Euro crowds) who just so obviously love the music. Everything else comes a distant second.

I don't know about that. Been to a show at MSG? and a bit north in Toronto? Pretty intense.

I flew to Brazil and saw PJ in Sao Paolo. Got in 15 minutes before the rest of the crowd...think they let us in 3-4 hours before PJ started...and for that long it was a mass of sweaty, drunk, people pushing the whole time. People pissing on ground around you. Many many people were pulled out by security. It actually sucked. While standing in line outside a few Brazilians picked us out as being American and harrassed us. Had to kind of hide for a bit...course this was during Dubya's reign so understood. Hung out with killer PJ fan members before they let us in. Prefer seats to this chaos anyday.
Country was incredible as where the people so keep it on your bucket list..but be prepared.

I was there for the Argentinian show having travelled all the way to South America for one week in BA and one show. Definitely a highlight and one of the best decisions of my life. The Argentinian fans are unbelievably passionate. Hope to return someday, great city. The time of my life! 8-)8-)8-)

I guess it depends on the city you're going to. In São Paulo shit gets pretty crazy because it's a well known city so a lot of people from other states go to that show. I saw them in Porto Alegre and apart from waiting for the show to start and thinking I was going to die in the first three songs, everything else was great and perfect. :D
