That is a true collection of music fans right there.
Anyone ever seen the Iron maiden flight 666 film? Those SA shows there for them are just utterly insane and is what I thought of when watching the PJ SA Youtube vids.theserialthrilla wrote:Sealed vinyl is bad vinyl.

Such an amazing spectacle, now I know why Dimitris wanted to go to Argentina so bad. Before I die, I need to see a big show in South America (preferably Pearl Jam). All of you in South America, keep on rockin'!!
Yes, keep on rockin'! It's awesome to see just how passionate these fans are. It's incredible.dimitrispearljam wrote:
That is amazing! At the shows I've been to, the 10C seats are half empty during Evenflow. Meanwhile, in SA, the entire floor is filled with jumping, singing fans. The guys must be totally psyched to play in front of a crowd like that.
To be honest, I don't know why PJ doesn't play South America more often.
Yeah but the East Coast gets to see PJ pretty much every year so they'll be bored of Even Flow2000: Manchester

I don't want to start a "best fans" flaming war here, but I just wanted to say that these SA shows just emphasise my belief that USA fans have, somewhere down the line, lost their true love for the band. It's like they've forgotten why they love the band, and what's most important. They seem to care more about merchandise, posters, hearing rare songs, the 10c lottery, getting Mike picks, setlists, their status amongst their peers etc. etc. I think it's probably born from the ever-growing materialistic culture of the USA. It's so refreshing seeing these SA crowds (and, to an extent, Euro crowds) who just so obviously love the music. Everything else comes a distant second.0

I hear what your saying. Reading posts on here after PJ20 and people saying cos they couldn't get hold of a Klausen poster ruined their weekend....c'mon now!
Or that a certain song didn't get played. Just enjoy the show!2000: Manchester

100% agree, (2 of my favourite boots are Santiago, Chile 2005 and Oeiras, Portugal 2010) but it may also be that the US fans have had the opportunity to see the band so regularly over the years that the saying 'familiarity breeds contempt' may subconciously affect them. Mind you I remember at the last Sydney show in 2009, the merchandise stand was 15 deep as I walked by. Not interested in that stuff either, give me the music any day, all day.0 -

"From the stage, the best crowd/show of all time, an acid trip of Argentinian passion. Hard to explain not only what we were seeing but what we were feeling....first time in a long time that I couldn't sleep after a show.
Still processing it....

Todavia lo estoy procesando…"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
