Just read this too and was getting ready to post a link to the article. Was really hoping it would be out by the end of the year but doesn't seem like they are in any rush to get it done.

I just feel that they put the actual band on the back burner a lot. I understand BRAD isn't a side project (although it is) but Pearl Jam should be the main focus here. Not an album every 3 years or so.
Not only 15 shows here and there. You're a band... tour correctly.2008 - MSG 6/24-6/25

What can you say it'll be done when it's done , they tour here when they do i'm not sitting around waiting anticipating i did in the 90's not anymore time to get ready for a great summer ....jesus greets me looks just like me ....0

The more time the wait, the better for me. I know they want to get all the other stuff done before they get into PJ mode. Fine by me. I know it will be good.Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

I'm actually okay about this as I'd rather they take there time over it and put out a great album than something rushed. I'm also still keen to hear some more BS live as the previous Euro tour they seemed to only play the staples from that album. As for people who say they're a band just do what a band should do, isn't that why we love this band, because they don't just do the same thing as nearly every other band. Of course we'd all like them to tour more as we'd get to see them more, but then they'd just burn out and quit!My PJ shows:
London 28/10/96, Las Vegas 11/7/98, London 29/5/00, Nurnburg 11/6/00, Prague 14/6/00, Salzburg 18/6/00, Verona 20/6/00, Milan 22/6/00, Zurich 23/6/00, New York 8-9/7/03, Boston 11/7/03, Reading Festival 27/8/06, Shepards Bush 11/8/09, Berlin 15/8/09, Manchester 17/8/09, London 18/8/09, Dublin 22/6/10, Belfast 23/6/10, London (HRC) 25/6/10, Alpine Valley (PJ20) 3-4/9/11, Manchester 20-21/6/12, Leeds 8/7/14, Milton Keynes 11/7/14 To be continued....0 -

It will be good but in the meantime hungry USA fan's want to see them live, and soon. I have a gut feeling though that we won't see Pearl Jam here till '13. Cause would they tour the east & west coast this Summer/Fall without a new record? And if the new record comes out early '13 and they toured the east & west coast months before (summer/fall '12), will they do another east & west coast USA tour to support the record, so soon? :crazy:0 -
I think there's still a possibility it will come out this year, who knows? It would kinda suck if it was 2013 and maybe the longest wait in between records since Riot Act & Avocado.
The guys are always busy w/ family and Ed obviously loves touring solo, his more low key existence that brings in money than the full on, exhaustive PJ tours which can take a lot of work.
Their age might have a little bit to do with it but when they do finish a PJ album, it's always great to know they still give it their all and nothing less...U.S. / Canada Buffalo 1996 Barrie Ontario 1998 Saratoga Springs 2000 Toronto Ontario 2000 Albany 2003 Toronto Ontario 2003 Buffalo 2003 Toronto Ontario 2005 Toledo 2004 London Ontario 2005 Seattle 2009 Vancouver B.C. 2011 Seattle 20130 -
The only thing i would like from the Band is to just state yes we will be touring the states in 12 or no we will not be touring the states in 12 ........Simple no :?: :Pjesus greets me looks just like me ....0

Hey they did a big tour in 2000 and with the exception of a few benefit and one off shows here and there, didn't tour again until 2003. I will gladly save my money up in anticipation of a new tour and album. I didn't even go to Alpine Valley and I spent a ton of money on PJ20 and Eddie in 2011 in the form of Uke Songs vinyl, CD, Water on the Road and two solo shows, PJ20 movie tickets, Bluray deluxe, CD, Vinyl, and book.He who forgets will be destined to remember.

+1 Completely agree with this. I'll save my money so when they announce a tour, I can go to more than 1 show and head up to Boston to party with you, Fenway, and unlost.youngster wrote:Hey they did a big tour in 2000 and with the exception of a few benefit and one off shows here and there, didn't tour again until 2003. it's okey, we have plenty more time to enjoy Backspacer... however, now there is no excuse for delaying anylonger the Alpine Valley stuff...... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...0

That would certainly be courteous, wouldn't it?
I didn't say expected, required, they owe it to us, or anything of the like, so those looking to pick a fight can chill

Uhmmm...don't they have kids they want to spend time with...or spouses/girlfriends...and a long time ago Jeff said that they're getting too old
to do one big long tour, so they go on the road maybe a month at a time. Give them a break... be philanthropic0 -
Oh please, so if you have kids you have to make albums every 2 or 3 years, and tour 12 dates each leg?
people make too many excuses for this band.
"Give them a break" when they don't tour for PJ each one if touring with someone else. Why not concentrate on it and give the fans what they really want... a full scale tour. One of two legs.
2006 was the last big tour they did.2008 - MSG 6/24-6/25
