"I Believe In Miracles" is one of my favorites, along with "Little Wing" (which I got to hear in full in Vancouver last September!)

As much as I LOVE PJ and Eddie.....you can not cover that song..Mark Seymor has such an original voice... only he can sing this song.... Eddie does ok though..but still..it's just my opinion

"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
Sonic Reducer, RITFW, Baba, Gimme Some Truth, Hide Your Love Away...All fantastic covers. Lately I have been really enjoying the shit out of "American in Me, Arms Aloft, and Public Image" I also dig "Driven to Tears" When they played this at the Gibson 10/1/09 I was blown away. Such a great song!!
Cheers!
Seen the Best Rock Band on the Planet a few times here and there.
Lately I just CAN'T get enough of Masters of War from Bob Dylans 25 anniversary show......Can't play it often enough or loud enough(your welcome neighbors)....Ed's voice in one of it's best showcases I think...Makes the hair on my neck stand up...LOVE that feeling
I will walk w/my hands bound
I will walk w/my face blood
I will walk w/my shadow flag
Memories back when she was smooth and strong
and waiting for the world to come along...

I think those are 2 of their worst, relative to the kickass-ity of the originals. Mother is in a weird spot for EV's range and nobody does the solo like Gilmour can.
Little Wing comes off as heavy handed to me. Such a delicate and nuanced tune and that's really missing in PJ's version. The older version with Maggot Brain is a pretty good version but it still doesn't begin to approach the greatness of the original.
Having said that, they do top or equal some of the original versions, and most of them are tunes they've played since the early days. And there are quite a few Ed solo tunes but as cool as some of those are it's usually just the basic chord progression and the singing, whereas a full band cover has alot more to it to be pulled off well.
Generally speaking, Throw Your Arms Around Me is my favorite.... But I was at the Who tribute when they absolutely nailed The Real Me. That was awesome. Best studio cover is Crazy Mary. I think it's actually their best studio performance, period.
It's got to be Sonic Reducer - still after all those years.
I bought some boots just because Sonic Reducer was on the setlist.
PJs versions blow me away every time.

Also a fan of I Believe In Miracles.

Hard to pick a favourite - Vedder is very clever in picking great, but possibly slightly obscure songs, and the band make the songs their own. And ofcourse having Vedder singing these songs in most cases makes the song better!
Rockin' In The Free World : If there was one song that is perfect for Pearl Jam this is it - Political, rousing, pumping. Just a great rock song. They changed the tempo compared to Neil Young's version and take it to another level. Never get tired of this one.
Timeless Melody : I love the song. Seemed to fit with a lot of the Binaural and Yield material. Not sure it would fit with the band nowadays though,
I Won't Back Down (Vancouver 2003) : 2 points about this song. 1) This is the very best version they ever did (Gorge not even close) 2) One of their most spine-chillingly brilliant moments. Eddie Vedder's voice never better. If you haven't heard it, download it now. Amazing.

I also dance with my Mom at my wedding to their version of "Forever Young" which is awesome.
As far as songs with the whole band playing I have to go with "Let My Love Open the Door".
If you have never seen/heard Bruce and Eddie do "No Surrender" and "Darkness on the Edge of Town" those are must listen as well.
