    that's it.

i would assume it applies going forward

No more than 18 concert dates will be allowed per season, unless additional dates are authorized by the county

so no issues on numbers at this point.

i think so far confirmed are 2 phish shows, 1 DMB show and 1 Kiss show plus the rumored Buffet show.

DMB's playing 2 nights. Still nowhere near that magical 18!

Plus, it sounds to me like that number specifically applies to dates where camping is allowed. PJ didn't allow camping last year so I can't see it being a dealbreaker if labor day weekend ends up being shows #19 and 20.

I just broke down and made a reservation and she said there were quite a few rooms left.

I would be SICK if they announced a show and I didn't have a reservation there... it's just too convenient. Well worth 219.00 a night.

I'm thinking the same thing too, but this was my problem last year. You can't walk directly from the hotel to the front parking lot without a really loooooong walk up a hill and around the venue. Plus not really possible to walk all that way and bring tailgate supplies with you. Or you need to find somebody to give you a ride over there. I will say it is very convenient to just walk back to your room after the show :D

Rent a cart from the golf course and instead of using it for golf, just use it to commute between the parking lot and the hotel.

    Problem solved.

 I definitely wouldn't get any deposit back after what would probably happen to said cart!

I think I'm just gonna stick with the Super 8. Tailgating's half the fun for me and besides my sister hardly drinks anyway so I'm sure she won't mind driving back to the hotel

I am glad I booked. I wont mind a walk plus I figure I can just kick in some money to someone that will have a tailgate set up.

APV resort was great. The only thing that seemed to bother them were the 6-10 men that were pissing on the golf course after the shows were over.

So my husband booked us a room at Alpine and he said the lady helping him told him about concert rates. Then she asked him if he knew that Pearl Jam played Labor Day weekend last year? Then she more or less implied that the rates would go up for that weekend if/when they came back again this year. Sounded pretty good to me :D
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

Not to interrupt, but there's a small incline/hillish type thing to walk up behind the stage. Once you get in, you have to walk up the main hill at Alpine (which you would have to do to get to the other stages) and it is at your left.

Same here. She said, a lot of people are booking rooms in hopes of a pearl Jam concert and if this happens the rates will Go up.

There is a paved path that goes from the hotel to the back of the venue. It ends up kind of behind and to the left of the stage and there is a gate there where they will take your tickets and then you're in. The 10club tent was at the top of the hill last year but I'm guessing that was just for PJ20, of course all us are guessing about this so who knows what is going to happen.

I think it started because of some consistent rumors from the locals, some who claim to have inside sources on the matter.
