rockford wrote:So, I've been chatting a bit with fellow jammers, and there's interest in meeting up for a Seattle BBQ to prepare for the Gorge show and the Canadian Tour!
The BBQ will be at Alki Beach in West Seattle, Wednesday evening, 8/31/2005, around 7:00PM. If you can, please bring some food or beverages with you- if you come empty handed, that's cool too.
Lots of PJ fans should be in the area for the Gorge and Vancouver shows- hope to see you guys there!
Oh, and thanks to jamainiac for the help organizing!
How far would that be from the SeaTac airport area? I would LOVE to come, but I've never been to seattle before and won't know my way around at all.The Elle Woods of public accounting.0 -

Is anyone else planning on floating the Yakima River the day of the show? I am definetely doing that. I plan on getting to the river around noon that day. The float is about 2 1/2 hours or so.
Los aNiMaLs.....as i have said, wanting to do the trip on the Yakima. My crew of 3 total will be there just before noon. Just purchased a smoking hot raft on ebay for the occasion.....maybe I should get one for the beer too huh?

If anyone has any extra room; I am so game! Anyway...is there somewhere you can rent a raft or anything in the area? That sounds like a really great way to spend the pre-show dayThe Elle Woods of public accounting.0 -

Just spoke with Jams, and we figured out 3 options for the after-BBQ activities:
A) Head to a bar in the Downtown area? The Garage is cool- on Capitol Hill, walking distance to downtownHit up one of the fine bars along Alki (Bamboo Bar and Grill or Celtic Swell)
C) Weather permitting, keep hanging on the beach- break out the guitars?
If you're late to the BBQ, then call my cell and we'll get on the same page. (206) 295 2403.rock musik rockar röv.0 -

West Seattle is the closest part of Seattle to Seatac- it can be done in just over 15 minutes if you know the backroads. If you're on the interstate, probably 20-25 minutes or so...rock musik rockar röv.0 -

Don't worry about direction, either- I'll post them in a bit (including from seatac). If you get lost, just call and we'll be sure you find your way. :-)rock musik rockar röv.0 -
