The drink special they told me was from 4-7 $2 Coors Light Drafts.

With it being so close I didn't wanna push it with the drink specials in case they didn't like that idea and shut us down.

The owner is VERY excited about having us there and about the PJ show and he assured me there is PLENTY of PJ to play in the jukebox :)

    edit

    no bitching...

i'll splurge for the good stuff ;)

Would anyone be interested in taking a shuttle bus to the venue and back after the show from Sweet Janes?

The owner emailed me and asked me to see if enough interest was in it. He said it'd be $5 a person to shuttle over to the venue.

Anyone? Hurry, I need to get back to him.

I'm driving an SUV and will be heading over to the Dodge around 4pm from the bar and would certainly be willing to take anyone I could fit, or anyone that buys me a beer! I'm also bringing a big tent and grill for the CT Expo Lot and anyone can huddle there and hang.

That said, I think given the current weather situation and the # of people going to Sweet Jane's, I would ABSOLUTELY take the SJ owner up on this offer and get the shuttle for anyone who wants it. And for $5??? I would bet that around 5:30pm, after everyone has been drinking for a while, that not many people would want to walk a mile and a half in the rain dodging traffic. And especially since the owner seems to be into the whole scene. Sounds like a great idea.

  • Myself and a couple friends may be interested. We plan on parking half way between the venue and Sweet Janes. Sounds like a plan to me...

    TAILGATING!!! Please read!!!!

Alright, listen to this crock of shit...I just called the Dodge because I just shot my mouth off and said anyone could hang under the tent that I have. Anyway, I called over a month ago and asked about bringing a grill. I was transferred to a 203 area code number on the Jim Koplik/Dodge website and they said bringing a grill was fine. So I just called the Dodge again to ask about bringing a tent due to the rain, and here's the response I got:

"THERE"S NO TAILGATING AT THE DODGE"

WTF is that? I asked what time the parking lots open, and 'Nina' told me 3:30pm. Why the hell advertise that the lots open at 3:30pm and have the show start at 7pm and then turn around and say "THERE'S NO TAILGATING AT THE DODGE"??????

Can anyone explain this to me???? It seems the Dodge policies have just reverted back 10 years!!!!!!!!

'What went wrong...walking tightrope high...over moral ground...'

Maybe somebody else should call them and see what kind of response you get to this...860-548-7370.

most places don't admit there is tailgating

if i do tailgate i'm not going into the free lots... too much of a risk

Great idea... I think people would be willing to stay at the bar longer if they had a ride to the show. And for $5 I figure its worth it, probably cost that much to split a cab.

I don't know but it was a definite buzz kill.

Pay lots may be a better option, and many are right across the street from what I remember and have read.

I may make a guest appearance with my friend.

I will probably bail at some point after 4 to tailgate though
