    Done both but of late I've been asking for money up-front since I can't afford to front anymore! But I also think I've made enough friends here that I'm not selling tickets to a total stranger. Also, my buddies are offering to pay upfront so of course I don't say no to that!

    If it's someone you don't know, I'd probably be inclined to ask for money upfront just because there's always a chance of someone flaking out. However, I have in the past not ask for money upfront before and it worked out just fine. I think you just trust your gut, if you think you can trust the person then don't ask, if you're not sure or would rather not be in the hole until the show, then ask them to pay.

    No right or wrong, just do what you're comfortable with.

    I'm afraid not cos i've promised it to a buddy who I am trying to convert. I may have other spares but not sure what friends are doing yet. I hope you get sorted for Manchester
