Boston College's own, Mark Herzlich ... great story."You're one of the few Red Sox fans I don't mind." - Newch91

Have to run the ball really well and get to Brady. The running game needs to explode on Sunday and just dominate.Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

We essentially shut down a better running back than both Jacobs and Bradshaw in the AFC championship. Gonna be tough to run on Vince & Co.Newch91 wrote:Have to run the ball really well and get to Brady. Yes it will. Just remember, the Giants didn't have Bradshaw the first time both teams met in the regular season.FenwayFaithful wrote:

I am aware. Also remember the Pats didn't have half their defense (see jimed's past post) when you guys beat us by 4 points in the reg season. Look, I respect the Giants big time (especially their front 4) and Cruz is one of my favorite players in the league. I just don't think you guys can keep up with us when we go up early.Newch91 wrote:

And the Giants were without Nicks and Tuck was banged up all year. Both teams are a lot healthier and both teams are a lot better now than they were then. I think Fenway is nuts for thinking the Patriots are going to put up big numbers on the Giants. Not saying the Giants are going to win but I would be shocked to see the Patriots put a big number up.0

The benchmark I use is that we faced a statistically better D 3 weeks ago against Denver and we picked them apart.Cliffy6745 wrote:And the Giants were without Nicks and Tuck was banged up all year. And for the record, I am nuts."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250 -

Can't really compare the Giants D now to what they were during the season. They were one of the worst ranked d's all season.0 -

There is no guarantee the Pats will have an early lead, especially if the Giants get the ball first.severed hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31

Thinking about this out of pure boredom and restlessness waiting for Sunday...
Out of all the Giants road to the Super Bowls I am leaning towards this year's being the most difficult and most impressive. 2007 was a very close second, 1990 as well (facing montana, rice + co in SF).
BUT this year....the playoffs really started wk 16 vs the Jets, then had to beat Dallas just to get in.
Then the actual playoffs....beat a decent Atlanta team, beat defending powerhouse 15-1, #1 seed GB in GB!!, then beat vicious defense #2 SF in SF on a miserable weather day.
Again, its close and debatable but all things considered I'm thinking this years GB & SF teams were tougher opponents then 2007 Dallas and GBPJ - 36

Getting uncomfortable now that Chris Canty said the parade will be on Tuesday and the website gaffe.
I really wish the players would shut up and just play. The players who have talked (Rolle, JPP, Manningham, Canty) better all play great tonight. I know JPP will, but we know Rolle will be the one making mistakes and blame it on other players.Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford
